I love how Liam had characters with deeply rooted, brooding, intricate traits for C1 & C2, and then this campaign is like "Hi im halfling. small halfling. Teeny weenie itsy bitsy flea-sized halfling. I'm a halfling that is so very tiny. It's me, the halfling that is smaller than everyone."

Yup, no sadness in Orym, nope, nothing to see here... lol. 😉 I get what you mean, I'm glad Liam has lighten up a bit and seems to be having a lot of fun with a bit of whimsy. He's still going to rip our hearts out and set them on fire later of course, but I'm enjoying the fun while it lasts.

Fearne def shines in those situations, esp shade creeper sunlight where it might not be as noticeable (since people only see the final result, not what would have been rolled otherwise). I really like how this campaign is shaping up for the characters to face their demons or possibly turn against their friends. FCG malfunctioning and having parttial amnesia, Laudna having Delilah in her head, Imogen being tempted by the purple stone, and now Chet losing himself a bit to his feral side. I love inner-party conflict.

Well to be fair FCG secretly being dangerous is just a fan theory at this point. But I agree. There's also potential for Ashton to just turn against them period given his history he keeps close to his chest. I don't really see Fearne and Orym being corrupted at the moment. Orym seems very protective of his friends (his fighting style greatly involves getting attention away from the party and onto him) and Fearne may cause issues with her kleptomania, but she's not really corrupted by it or anything. If we ever get to a point where all the issues pile up on each other, I could see Fearne and Orym being the two remaining party members with big hearts who want to find a way to stop things from crumbling.

In particular, she didn’t care about hitting the two guards the first time the group encountered Lady Emoth. At other times, she has done things that could cause serious problems for the group for her own amusement. She knowingly and deliberately jeopardized everyone by wearing Treshi’s ring. She never appears to consider how her thefts might impact the people she steals from. I don’t think someone who does whatever they want with no concern for the wellbeing of others can be described as having a “big heart.” This would be consistent with her being fey. They aren’t actively malevolent, but don’t care at all how what they do impacts others.

Even if it's something like humanity or sanity based, I think it's gonna be really interesting. I agree on Fearne and Orym. Maybe Orym could go down the path of vengeance with his loss, but he seems relatively at peace and understanding of his own grief.

Or how she’s been checking in on Imogen as much as Laudna does? Or how she always sleeps big spoon little spoon with Orym? Or even just in this episode when she heard a clatter from the kitchen and immediately rushed off to check on him “because it’s Orym”. Being mischievous doesn’t mean she doesn’t care about those she’s close to.

As a DM, nothing fills my heart more than everyone's excitement when they learn that the book is Vespin's journal. Home brewing is a lot of work. I would be touched just to know that my players remembered a bad guy's name, let alone were so excited that they considered setting off traps mid-mission just for a potential lore dump. I mean, Vespin hasn't even been mentioned in a campaign to my knowledge, just in the books and the special history video. Their investment is a testament to Matt's quality storytelling.

The lore runs so deep and it’s just the juiciest content to soak in. I gush over the tid bits from the books as well as the past campaigns. It’s a shame at times when things get overlooked or swept by the wayside, understandable with any campaign but it almost makes me wish CR had a team actively making notes for the PCs specifically, like a rundown on what their character would actively be knowledgeable of to avoid the parts of any session that create more confusion and wasted time. It would also offer much cleaner and intelligent RP from the dedicated players that also have day jobs. Going over the rules consistently is to be expected, but when key details are missed that the characters would obviously remember it does start to detract from the immersion in my personal opinion

While each campaign can be watched sepsrately, I was one that watched 1 then 2 now 3 ( probably should have watched Exandria too). It's a journey. And a fun one. Enjoy.

Ok I'm listening to Laura peddle that nested doll, and I came up with an idea. One of those dolls that talks when you pull the string in back. It's Sprinkle with all of Travis' different woe-is-me quotes. No idea if someone already came up with it, but I thought people might like it.
