Hi Rose, I really enjoyed this video, your perspective on subjects seen as taboo between couples such as who pays on a date, joint or separate bank accounts, a prenup prior to marriage are really helpful to me. To the first part. In my case, sometimes meeting up with old friends from work (all of them are pensioners), we pay one joint bill, dividing it equally between everyone (it doesn't matter who eats what and for how much). When I first joined this group, I covered the entire bill myself. Everyone was supposed to feel invited by me. A different, weekend situation with close and extended family. I was working as a CTO at the time. In this situation, the younger generation was invited and I covered the bill.

I find these questions very interesting,, it is extremely important to communicate effectively with your partner about these things. For example, going into debt to pay for a wedding is definitely ridiculous, the smart way is to save money the money and pay for the damn thing. It would be like a goal to achieve. As for paying for the first date , i always pay for the first date. Moving onwards could be discussed ,make sense. Thanks rose for this interesting video.

Rose, serious question: I know you made some of your money by selling an option's course. I've come up with an interesting way to evaluate option strategies which has also resulted in the development of a couple of new option strategies that historically backtest very well. I would like to capitalize on this, but I'm not sure how. Any suggestions?

What is the point in paying more for a brand name item? When you buy goods, one should make the purchase on what they feel is the best quality (and/or best looking) item for them. Nailed it again!

It did NOT assume you are heterosexual. It said TRADITIONALLY, men would pay. It is using the word traditionally quite literally, and then summarizing how things have changed. I know this because I work on AI models nowadays. If you want to debate that "traditionally" (on average) that men did not date women, then we would have a significantly smaller human population.

I really enjoyed this video, especially the part about the prenup. I've been happily married for 28 years, and we don't have a prenup. I don't think they were as common back when we got married. However, if my husband every passed away before me and I remarried, I'd get a prenup because I'd want my children from my first marriage to get the inheritance from their father and me.

A prenuptial agreement is a must. It should not be a deal breaker. If it is then don’t get married. The conversation required for a prenuptial is the same conversation that any couple who is serious should be having regardless if they get married with the government involved. Agreed it’s not a sexy conversation. But a lot of necessary conversations that a couple must have are not sexy. Often the most difficult things to talk about are the most important things that must be discussed.

In my religion, it is an obligation upon the husband to provide for his wife, food, clothes, living expenses. However, it has to be within his means. Even if I make more money than him, I don’t need to help him, unless I do it for the sake of Allah. For which I would get reward from God/Allah. And I strongly believe in the rules and laws given to us by God, since He knows us best. Given He created us.

I would guess the one with the crewcut or mullet usually pays. If they are both hotties, then they can easily get some simp to treat them by implying it might get him in the middle of a gbg sandwich.
