These crochet baby booties would make a great gift for a new arrival. They are offered in three different sizes: newborn, 0-3 months and 3-6 months. The pattern is the same for all three sizes, all you need to do is change the hook size.
The finished measurements for these crochet baby booties are:
Newborn: 3” (8cm)
0-3 months: 3.5” (9cm)
3-6 months: 4” (10 cm)

This is an easy crochet tutorial and I’ll show you what to do step by step. The following stitches and abbreviations are used:
BLO - back loop only
ch(s) - chain(s)
dc - double crochet
hdc - half double crochet
sc - single crochet
sk - skip
sl st - slip stitch
st(s) - stitch(es)
SPECIAL STITCHES:
BPsc - back post single crochet
FPhdc- front post half double crochet

Oh my gosh!!! I’m with the lady that is excited over the achievement of having the same amount of stitches at the row count.. 😁🤭 I’m amazed that I have a booties with the seam lines in the right spaces. Something I learned while working along side of Maisie/Ruth in this bootie pattern. Now I know why I keep having extra stitches. 😂😊 the only thing I don’t have right is the size. I used the same needle size so maybe it is the size of the yarn.. It didn’t have a label to know the size. I’m 1” over the size for needle 3.5. It still looks the best ever I’ve done… my first project wasn’t making granny squares, I made booties. Lol yes they had mistakes but they were booties. Thank you so much. I’m joining the Maisie and Ruth crocheting team.. thank you girls for making the pattern easy to follow and easy to see what we are looking for… learned a new stitch too… or at least put it in the right spaces. 😂😊

I learned to crochet a single crochet stitch on January 31, 2023. I found your website in February and have been crocheting away for my newest grandson and my granddaughter who is coming in july. I will post the teddy bear blanket booties and hat I made as soon as the snouts are done on the blanket. Here are some pictures of the rose blanket , (1)bootie ( still working on the other) and the simple headband. I’m also going to make the pretty pink Onsie for her. Thank you so much for your wonderful tutorials. You are so talented and a great teacher. Looking forward to making more things for my 3 grandchildren in the future. I am so happy I found your tutorial for these booties. I just finished them for my first Grandchild to go with the hat I made and the blanket. I am going to attempt the dress as well. The only step I thought might have been included is the placement of the button, but I can kind of guess at it. Thank you for your instructions as that are clear and at a pace to be able to follow. I just finished my second bootie. The first one is a do over. The second is a keeper. I was able to follow along and see exactly what stitch, the where to put it, and the count to come out right. The seam lines up this time. And I learned a good lesson in joining the seam and not counting the seam stitch as a stitch as I mistakenly do. Ending up with a slanted seam and more stitches then I need, having to decrease my stitch to match up the count. It’s best I make another one to look as beautiful and accomplished as the second one made. Thank you once again. Maisie and Ruth…for a job teach well done. Going to pass this one one and save it for myself.

Well, I have just made two pairs of these sweet little shoes and they are even better than they look on the videos!! I am left handed so the instructions for the right shoe became a left one and vice versa for the left. Understandable since we lefties crochet in the opposite direction. Your instructions are so good it was easy to follow but I wrote them down after watching so I could watch TV while crocheting! ! Now I have to find suitable buttons!

Finished your blanket with pink as the accent color….it is gorgeous using your clear instructions…now working on the booties but geez did I have a hard time with the front post Hdc…..using a US “G” hook 4mm, my stitches were so small and being a tight crocheter, I was putting the sts in the wrong st and also missing the skipped one that my st count was off……had to redo many times……finally went to an “F” hook to find the correct st and got through it!!!!!! Whooooo😅 Now on the strap of the right shoe…..not looking forward to doing it over again to do the left shoe……but it’s my problem and I don’t give up….it’s a beautiful set and I have to make a second set for my granddaughter’s arrival…..

@@MaisieandRuth Amanda , left bootie was much easier………the pattern that the front and back posts makes is so pretty it’s a shame it gets covered up by the bow…..but the bow is essential and makes the bootie!!!! it’s my granddaughter who’s expecting, so I’m making it for my “great” granddaughter!
