This is so helpful!!! I crocheted like a maniac while pregnant, and crocheted my way right into physical therapy and wrist braces. Yes, it is true. 😂 I’m healed now and am finally looking into how to (gently) return to this beloved crafted. This is so helpful, thank you!!!!

I'm so sorry to hear you were injured, but I am very familiar with it! I have arthritis in my hands because of all my crafting, but I wouldn't stop for a minute. Keep up on your craft and look for things that make it easier. I crochet ONLY with ergonomic hooks now and it helps. Also, there are gloves out there that can help. I also have a medicated, over-the-counter cream that is very helpful. I'm so happy you have been able to come back to crochet!

With the ergonomic hook I found, if I place my hook in the blue piece first and then slide the green piece over the the hook to attach, there's no rattling 💛

Glad it was helpful! Yes, it can be uncomfortable, but don't stop. Just keep experimenting with things to find what works best for you and is most comfortable. Sometimes your doctor can offer some help.

Yes, absolutely! I think it may even be more advantageous with the pencil hold. I choke up on my hooks so much that they don't benefit me as much.
