My wife Nikonya shows how to make Crock Pot Lasagna. Her recipe includes five cheeses. It cooks in 4 hours, and is very easy to make. We LOVED this lasagna, and ate every bite over three days. It's actually better the second day (for some strange reason). Of course, refrigerate the left-overs.

The first 'crock pots' aka slow or fast cookers, the electric kind, were sold in the 1920's and 1930's. People did have big wooden boxes filled with insulation, with inside metal framing. For those you heated up some stones, or iron plated, or just got your food boiling hot. You stuck the heated element in the bottom of the metal container, which had the insulation around it, but not touching it, put your food in, closed the lid and let it cook for a few hours. These were called hay boxes. Then they came out with basically the same thing, but they were much smaller and used electricity, they either had 1 heat setting, or the fancy ones had a low or hot setting.

Thanks for the recipe. Eating it now...DELICIOUS 😍😍😍 I’m now a subscriber. I live in a tiny house with no stove/oven and have to rely on electric appliances to cook. Just bought a slow cooker yesterday and your video was the first one I saw so went with it. Changed it to 4 cheeses lasagna as I forgot the 5th cheese (provolone). Was delicious in any case and think it didn’t need anything more 😋😋😋

I always thought you were supposed to put a layer of sauce down as your first layer to prevent burning and help with clean up. Also I know with lasagna cooked in a conventional oven, it is best to let it set for 10 or 15 minutes once it is done, or it tends to be too slurpy. Letting it sit tends to help it firm up. Love your recipe, I bet it is really tasty. Thank you for posting.

First, props to Nikki for doing this. It looked great. Second, call me weird, but I liked it when she was snapping the lasagne putting it in the pot! Third, I got to give it up for the real star...PUG!!!! That look and the snoring was just a show stealer. The lasagne looked really good. It did not look like a mess to me. Now for the negative. I'm starving and neither of you care! ;-) Thanks to Nikki, Tony and Pug for delivering this very good video.

Forgot to tell you Danny. A little over a week after we learned that Socks didn't die in a road accident, he actually did die in the garden near our house. Best we can determine, he just had a heart attack or blood clot that moved to his little heart. We found him all peaceful under a rose of Sharon bush. We are very sad about it. Nikki actually bought him a little tombstone for his grave near our bee hive. She wants me to do a little video tribute to him. Best and sweetest cat we've ever known. TLG

That is devastating! My heart breaks at this news. I agree you should do a proper tribute. I know he was a young cat. I'm truly sorry to hear this news, but I appreciate you telling me.
