I agree everything can go in together, potatoes & carrots will not over cook. Plus when you take the top off it slows down the cooking time on a crockpot. It defeats the purpose of using a crockpot, especially if you use it while at work or running errands. Don’t need to pour the whole box of broth either. The meat will make its own broth too. The liquid doesn’t evaporate. Meat will still be tender. Key to using crockpot is knowing correct amount of time to slow cook meals.
