@Turbo JOBU, I'm not too sure exactly what you're after but from what I understand, you want a finer control of when vtec engages. Crome actually has different vtec for different engine loads (low and high). There's also a VTEC load threshold. Look at the table. It's under Advance tables.

Hello Excuse my English is not very good. I have a problem with my Crome Map. My car (Civic EE9 with Turbo) was tuned by the Tuner with Crome (dealer version). I have the Dealer Version to! Now when I read-out the chip and open in Crome, he shows me under "Options: Rev limiter 7022 rpm and Enable VTEC the rakes is set and is at 5000rpm." When I drive the car with the map, the Rev limiter set at approx 8000rpm and 5600rpm VTEC switches at about one. (read from Datalogin) The tuned is 100%, that I will not change! I want to only activate Launch Control and Shift light. If I go: "Pugins / Enhancements / Add Extra features", I can enter values there my personal Launch and shift. I burn the Map on a chip, this works wonderfully. But it is switched on no more VTEC. If the Tuner programmed the Rev Limiter and VTEC point any differently and not over the options? I do not find the area where he has been programmed, that the VTEC only switches, if the throttle position just over 50% He said at the time that would be good for highway driving to save fuel. This works very well, I do not want to change. I would just like to see the point in Crome. Can you help me? Thanks

I want to but I sold all my honda cars. The only one I have left is my NSX. I just did a gsr turbo 2 weeks ago but the customer didnt have the time so I couldnt setup my laptop for recording. Maybe in the future I can do one on tuning.

So basically once crome is installed I'd have to run 2 wires from the clutch switch one ground an 1 to 8pin in order to activate flat shift (fts) correct ? Now I could run a Switch between the wire Goin to 8 pin to turn it off an on correct ?

I’m late but what would you suggest to set launch control at? on a b18b1 non vtec motor with just bolt ons ... I was thinking 3,500 but some say that’s to low .. I think that’s perfect since I only get a little wheel spin

Nicolas, unfortunately this patch only works on p30 and p72 roms since they. Depending on the board you have, you might be able to put in the a p30 rom into your socket and run it.

Nicholas Leon it will mot work on that ecu. You need a p30 or p28 obd1

Hey Paul, do you know a way to disable launch control when you haven't got A/C? I haven't got it on my 1992 Del Sol and I was planning on using launch control when I get to tune the car with Crome to run the turbo. Thanks in advance!

I have p06 converted to p28. I can't add extra features with p28 basemap. Can I use p30 basemap on my ecu without any problems?

Yes you can. You just need to disable the knock sensor since the p28map don't have it.

Carlos you need a p28 or p30 obd1 ecu with a conversion harness to get yoy going. Let me know if you need help

The ecu just plugs into the harness. The launch control features are built into the software. Use the software to create the program and then burn it onto a chip. The chip then is placed in the ecu. Hopefully that makes sense.

i set a Shift light it works while we are tuning my car. after day the shift light wont turn on after tune it. maybe my ECU is the problem? by the way my ECU is Chipped p06

Hey pal i have a question im trying to do this on a b16a2 the ecu is a p2t but its saying its only for ob1 but my car is a ob2 can i still run ? Because i download a bin file for a gsr a p30 and its not giving me the option ? Another question? Can i run a gsr bin with this and out it to my p2t? Ecu for my civic?

The version you are using doesnt work anymore..i.loaded the 1.5.5 version to work on a delsol b16...i dont have any enhancements at all..i tried loading them seperatly (jcspecial) I got him to get a p28 and was lucky to set him a higher redline 8800...lowered vtec engagement to 5300...advanced tables is empty as well... i ditched his speedlimiter...this is all i could do..(i am a ecu tuner just that i specialise with hondata)even at the start earlyer tonight it never recognised the burner even after i setted the portcom and reloaded the drivers to make it recognise the burner...even after that it would still think i was using the ostrich(even if corectly setted in settings to the right portcom and to burner etc..... man crome is done even back in the days i hated it..if u have any tips for me to get the added features so i can load him a launch control later on would be apreciated...i went into enhancements manager tried like 5ways to load the jcspecial file in it with no success all it says is error 103? I get this error 103 everytime i open crome( 1/0 error 103.).. His setup is stock motor just intake and headers he doesnt care about numbers so just the stock p30 program is ok for him just to run the p28ecu the chip had a b20vtec bin that i told him not to run...cheers sorry for this big of message any tips to load extra features every word are grayed out in enhancements..thanks cheers to you!

Vega-Expert what are you trying to achieve? The added enhancement works in the new version. The advance tables are all there. I've had issues with the ostrich so I created my own. Purchase mine instead... tunerwizard.com

Paul Vang the newest version doesnt work its says it is expired...i tune ecu s but now all i can do is burn chips looks like i cannot do anything with the recent versions..using the old tunes i did before and burning them its all i can do...:(

yes but it cuts fuel and not timing like traditional 2step with msd.

P28, P30 or P72. Even a P74 will work. Then just disable the vtec and adjust the fuel/timing table as needed.

opps sorry. I lost my train of thought and never finished the first line. The p30 and p72 roms/bin files can run almost any b, d, h, f series motor so the developers only focused on those 2 bin files. Hopefully that makes sense.

old comment, but in other words, open P30 map/bin/basemap. And redo/copy everything lets say from p06 base map, and it will work.

Either through the settings (by increasing it beyond what the engine would reach) or turning on the a/c (it disables launch when a/c is activated)

fito torres you can. you need to use the p30 basemap and then load in the p28 fuel and ignition tables.

Paul Vang doing this way you will use P30 advanced map with P28 tables , resulting in a erratic problems like part throttle going sometime to extra lean mixture , or fuel cut , due to that advanced tables correction . And less power , by almost 10-15% on dyno run for the same tables ( D15B7 on P06-301 map here ) .

fabrb26 It's just a starting point. It's not perfect. You'll have to make adjustments to the maps. P30 advance tables are for a b16 engine so it will need to be adjusted to what a p28 is setup with. All in all, you will need a tune and the results will still be better than a stock ecu.

Not much. Learn how to make the chip first. Once you can get a good basemap to start off with, you can then proceed to start tuning. Stay tuned for more videos showing the tuning process.

Not sure where you can find it. The best thing to do is to use a standard p30 and adjust the fuel / ignition table to make your engine setup. Do this on a dyno.

Using the p06 ecu is fine but you will need the p30 basemap and just disable vtec. Crome does not offer a p06 basemap.

That might work then. You tune it the same way but it's harder to try and hold the transmission in 3rd gear for the tune.

Its by design. John Cui wrote crome to work with a specific ecu family such as the p28, p30, p72 and a few others. During that time, most software developers were writing their software for a specific ecu family. There were others out there like BRE, Ghettodyne, Uberdata, HRED, etc. This was probably before hondatas time. Most users then were looking to modify their honda civic and integras so the majority of the engineering focus were put into p28, p30, and p72. Hopefully that makes sense.
