There's alot,especially in raising the fps.Lots of online hobby shops sell upgrades.Just be sure to invest in more Co2 tanks.

I still got my 2240 in .22 cal.I bought it then soon after bought the mod kit.Got heavier spring and several other parts that came with it.I got tired of buying cases of Co2 as I got less shots/tank after mods.It did improve power plus an added 10" barrel to aid that.I put it into the closet and bought a Hatsan qe Supercharger pistol in .22.Its a break barrel so no more tanks and hits as hard if not harder from the factory for less investment after the 2240 mods.The Crosman is built better with higher quality parts but the Hatsan has held up great for 550 pellets shot so far approx..Nice video on the 2240 and covering it's mods.

I have 3 of these … one standard out of the box gun One heavily customised but not tweaked ( daughters gun) about £450 worth! All brass upgrades with Canadian maple grips in gold! And the other heavily modified and tweaked about £850 worth just got all the main parts back from Chroming, stainless everything else including safety catch and Canadian maple grips in green! I love em!

Hi, I installed the power adjuster and now it takes me a few times of cocking for it catch, any ideas ?

Bought mine today and must say the trigger is a hard pull so will probably get around to doing this modification. Very informative cheers.

FYI, the breech comes apart - it's actually 2 pieces.

Yes, I had seen that. But I couldn't get the screw out, so did it the hard way.

That’s my all time favourite pistol, i even prefer it prefer it to my HW45 and HW44, it is Full of character, accurate, and that lovely BIGBANG ! 😄

Nice one Ben. I recently saw youd where you got your Shotgun licence. I'm not into that at the moment but was wondering what the procedure is to get a PCP licence, do you have any idea? Cheers.... 👍

When you say PCP license, I assume you mean air rifles. You don’t need a license for guns up to 20 joules, higher than that you need a cat c license. Which you can go the route I did, or join a tir shooting club and get you license that way.

Interesting thanks. Trigger /spring mod looks interesting But the price! Half the cost of a Brand New 2240 Also the extended proboscis on the New bolt ( with the Golf ball handle) Seems illogical As pushing the pellet further into the barrel ~doubles the air volume of the space that the C02 charge must fill on release. Reducing power significantly ...All claims notwithstanding.

Just ordered one of these for a rat problem I keep pigeons I keep the area clean remove left over food but they still come for the pigeons eggs I secured it many times they always managed to get in after 3 years I've had enough they keep coming so bought this I don't like harming any living thing so tried everything and after 3 years I think this is the only way

As an avid 2240 fan of over 20 years, with several festooned with various multi shot breech's and accessories from the now defunct GMAC company. This has to be one of the worse "How too modify your Crossman" videos I have ever seen. Lucky not to damage the plastic breech, breech seal or breech screw. Not to mention the barrel band. Loctite ! Not a good idea if you want to upgrade to a metal breech of any description. WD40, really. Gun oil is only a few quid. For all those thinking of doing this, take the time to research how to dismantle first. What tools you need. Invest in the correct size hex key for a start. Then swap the breech screw for an ordinary stainless steel slotted screw first chance.
