Crosman PSM45 - testing BB’s.

I switched to Hornady Black Plated BB’s as suggested by Daisy 880 Fanatic Fix It and those have been working flawlessly in my gun.
Things to look out for:

That's nuts different bbs can make such a big difference I assumed they all worked the same.

Same! Unless I’d experienced this I wouldn’t have believed it. I was sure something had broken inside the gun.

Nice! Easy fix is good. You’d think a new BB gun ought to work with any new BB’s. Either way glad you got it shooting 👍

In 44 years of shooting airguns, this is the first time I’ve ever run into a BB picky gun. I was very skeptical that different BB’s would make it work better. I was convinced something had broken inside the pistol.

With these new BB’s it’s a nice shooting gun. I noticed at longer distances past 25’ it seems to shoot to the left but not very consistently. Basically mine isn’t accurate enough to be fun at longer ranges.

BB picky plinker, it never occurred to me that BB quality counts that much. my crosman BBs are all corroded, dusty, grimy, pitted, definitely a lower quality vs other brand BBs I see in the stores.

I’ve got a container of Crosman BB’s that seemed to have corroded over time. My Daisy BB’s look great, silver and bright. I was really surprised when this gun was jamming on the Daisy BB’s, that’s all I’d shot through it initially. I don’t know what’s so special about the Hornady BB’s? I’m just glad the gun is working properly again and hadn’t broken inside like I assumed it had.
