Been doing this every other day during quarentine. I'm so much stronger! I did crow for 10 seconds with blocks, the longest I've ever done it! I'm so happy! This is definitely helping me through 😊

I completed this practice last week, and it was the first time I was able to get into crow pose for a bit. I completed this practice today and was able to get into crow pose for even longer. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

That was lovely. I didn't fly. I am still working on crow....but I still feel up lifted. Every minute on my mat brings me closer to God. Thank you for sharing. 💚

I just want to say thank you so much, I found your video 3 days ago and I completely changed the way I was trying to get into crow. I have been practising it for a couple of months now but not making much progress and not able to hold it at all. You said in your video to make sure to squeeze your legs into your arms, and that has been a game changer for me. I have been practising for the past 3 days, not expecting much, just enjoying the process, but I managed to hold it today for about 5 seconds with my head lifted off the block!!!!! I was so so happy. It's also again shown me that consistency is key, and how important it is to not get frustrated when I feel like I'm not making any progress, eventually something will click :) Thank you!!

Wow! I am SO glad you incorporated this class into this weeks schedule! I've been trying crow pose before with classes working up to it but never got my feet off the ground - until now! Wow - I actually managed hold it for, well I'd say a good 0,5 sec ;) But that is on the side note, because the feeling this class gave me, wow I feel alive and thankful for the work my body, mind and soul does together.

Thank you Allie, I was looking for something that teaches me crow pose and properly warms up my body! Added it to my playlist and am looking forward to trying! I so love the way you teach online yoga and am really greatful for the care and work you are putting into this. I once did a 3 hour beginners yoga class, which was very good but I seldom find the time to actually drive to a place to take a class. I feel, that your videos teach me perfectly what I want to learn without having to leave the house. I teach PE and English at school, so I have a pretty good feeling for my body, that just doing yoga with you and the computer is perfect. THANK YOU again for your helpful, honest work! So today I got around and did the flow!!! I am not quite in crow pose yet, but I realized that I can still do a headstand effortlessly like when I was 10 or so! Happy happy! I liked how you came from there in crow pose which I tried too, but did not come all the way down, but it felt so crazy good! Thank you Allie for the work, enthusiasm and empathy you put in your work, I am grateful to just be able to work at home!

I'm 63 too and am just a beginner, but I can't wait to try this sequence. I keep trying to get into this pose, but haven't made it yet. It's tough losing the fear of falling.

I was able to get both feet off the ground for a few seconds. Sweating buckets...The first time ever, after many attempts. You explain it really well as to which muscles to use, how to position the body. I will practice this pose again. Thank you! You’re an amazing teacher!

This class is such a ball buster, I wouldn't doubt you were sweating buckets and way to go putting all that effort forth! And yes, keep coming back to it and I'm positive you'll be floating/flying soon!

I finally got blocks and tried this practice for the first time today, I felt confident, I didn't fly but I felt the strength building up like never before, I know now with regular return to this practice I will soon fly which is a goal of mine. I loved this! I love how you include a winding down 'centering' to close the sequence. one at the start would be great too! hardly any yoga teachers on you tube do it..lovely vibe!

Omg Allie you are a rockstar 🤩 thank you so much for this class. All my attempts at crow pose have been limited to crow pose with my toes on the ground. My arm strength is not great and I’ve always struggled to take it up to the next notch. I have done this beautiful and challenging (for me) class and after a few attempts, i have managed to hold crow pose for 4 seconds while lifting my forehead off the block. Such an amazing feeling ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This is a great sequence! Do you have any tips with getting my feet to come off the matt when we lift on 2 blocks and swing? I can get my knees off but my feet are just not doing it!

My best advice is to round your back deeply, hug, hug, hug your belly back towards your spine, push into your hands, and believe that you can fly! And also - practice, always!

Thank you so much for the video and the suggestion for placing the block under face. Ive had a little fear of crow ever since I face planted and really smooshed and hurt my nose...Gave me the extra confidence I needed to fly for a few seconds which really felt great! This was my first video by you and LOVED it cant wait to check out more. I did have one question the arm binds would you suggest using a strap to deepen the bind until you can actually have hands touch or is it best to just let it happen over time?

Hey Allie! Only been meeting you in the zen den for a few weeks, and I'm loving every minute. I have a few questions though...do you recommend strength training in addition to a regular practice? (I know, kind of a loaded question) Also I have soreness in my tail bone (no idea why) and boat hurrrrrrrrrts, alternatives or recommendation for prop?

I definitely recommend strength training in addition to yoga, as it's very common to cultivate more flexibility where strength needs to live, which can lead to discomfort, pain and sometimes injury. Regarding your tailbone, I have zero clue babe as I'm not a licensed medical professional/can't see your body, if it's really hurting, go get if checked out! And a blanket under your bum in navasana should help!

You are amazing Ian 65 years old I have been doing yoga from age 18 and meditation from age 11 I have had amazing experiences. But now because of my fibromyalgia the pain stops me from my exercises I have always wanted to do the crow do you suggest I continue to try the crow pose and does your body come back to being flexible again with continued yoga please advise thank you 🙏 kindly Namaste

Please know, in this platform, it is very difficult to give advise as I cannot see your body in movement. In general, for yoga practitioners with fibromyalgia, it is vital to listen to your body's cues carefully and practice pacing, reassessing and adjusting as needed.
