Canadian tech death metal icons CRYPTOPSY is releasing their 8th album, As Gomorrah Burns, out September 8th from Nuclear Blast Records. Cryptopsy formed in 1992 and immediately became known as one of the fiercest death metal bands with releases like Blasphemy Made Flesh (1994) and None So Vile (1996), which influenced a generation of technical death bands. Now signed to Nuclear Blast, the band will release their first record in over 10 years, As Gomorrah Burns.
I sat down with charismatic singer Matt McGachy to discuss the album and much more!

One of Canada’s most intense metal bands Cryptopsy release “Detritus”, the first track from the “Book of Suffering - Tome 1” -EP. The video was produced by Chris Kells from Front to Back Video Production and features live performance presented in brooding sepia and full-color footage. I honestly don't get why matt gets hate from some fans. I honestly think he has a great studio and live voice . Him and lord worm have there good qualities. Its just like chris barnes and corpsegrinder both are great and have there qualities

this dude has some special deathmetal vocals with a athortive power that will cut through all deathmetal vocals...first listen i was what? 2nd listen i was wanting it. rare to get technical deathmetal vocals so individulized powerful complexity.

A comeback record? * Coming straigt after their two EP's that is some of the best material the band has ever put out, I'm really puzzled by that notion.
