No one mentioned that AJ from Issues did the pre breakdown. It was not Ryo’s voice when the vocals change up a bit around the 6:53 mark when he’s sitting in that seat that you mentioned. Anyhow, Ryo’s vocals are God tier and this song proves it. Dude doesn’t have a weakness.

Crystal Lake will always be the kings in Japanese metalcore. If you want a song of theirs that have more of those nasty gutturals, then check out Hail To The Fire. I know he's done it in other songs, but I can't think of any right now. Also, in their song Disobey, the screams that Ryo does in them....they are really something else. So those are two I would highly recommend checking out.

Glad to see some Japanese stuff! There is a lots of great stuff here, and I could recommend so much, but I think a good place to start is some Dir en Grey. I feel like that low section is similar to the lows that Kyo from Dir en Grey usually does. For a music video, maybe something like 激しさと、この胸の中で絡み付いた灼熱の闇 (Hageshisato, Kono Mune no Naka de Karamitsuita Shakunetsu no Yami). That shows a bit of his range.

In your next video do you think you could give an example of a basic exercise one could do, would that be more of something you'd do in lessons? Also would love to see a reaction to some older metal like manowar would love to know how to get those high belts to contrast with the grit I'm working on.

Building that kind of stamina is definitely the type of stuff that we go over in lessons a lot, but you have to have a bulletproof foundation first. I can definitely try and talk about it a little more on subsequent videos, but ultimately nothing is going to quite compare to the level of depth and personalisation that I can do in the classroom!

First stanza was “Install! Thy kingdom of glory!” Anyway, loved the detailed explanations. Learned a lot from this video. Keep it up! PS. The song name is a challenge cause it’s Latin. It’s actually pronounced “Eey-on,” with a long E sound. But I still loved the video. You’ve inspired me to do a lot more practicing to get better at vocals.
