Thank you for giving practical, doable steps for people to take in order to resist and stand. THIS is what we need right now!

Kudos to this pastor for this sermon. We are in serious need of knowing how to apply God's Word to these times. We need the Holy Spirit leading to help us navigate. We need the Fear of the Lord restored in this Nation.

What an inspriring and insightful message. I am so edified by the preaching at Christ Church and all its Pastors. Oh how I pray to be led to a similar church soon. I am very Grateful for the church I found during "lockdown" that didn't close down, did not force any restrictions at all,, and openly preached against what was happening. I only know of one other one within 1hr drive that also stood up! However, as an IFB church it has some theological issues I struggle with quite a bit. So I learn from a handful of other great teachers like Pastor Wilson to fill those deficits. For the time being, I stay there bc I trust they will never bow to the cultural war and believe they will protect the church and preach Christ at all costs. I pray to be led to a church that has both theological depth and strength to fight. Thank you Christ Church for all of your ministries.

Doug is describing exactly what I am seeing in far too many Christians right now. A spiritual stupor is occurring among so many that I personally know. Many seem to have no idea what’s actually going on, and very little courage to do anything about it. We have had to leave our church recently due largely to a baffling lack of discernment and a soft passivity for false teachers. Where do we go from here?

My church left me during Covid. They also are going down Woke Street.I was alone for 2 years. Street. The new church I've been at is not nessarily anti woke, but at least non woke. Pastor seems knowledgeable on that front. They also let me in without a mask. All of that said, they don't seem to realize just how bad things are. It was very discouraging when I sent a message re: the recent attack. Outside of a small paragraph in the weekly announcements email, it was like it never happened. I don't know what to do either. People are asleep!

@@kaylar3197 Does it ever occur to people that, "Just move", is not always an option? I'd give anything to get out of the hellpit of Chicago. have literally 0 money right now. I work barely part time. One elderly parent recently died. The other is now in the hospital. For those who can move out of bad situations, great! More power to them. But for others of us, it's just not possible.

@Yessica1993 Hi Yessica. Yes, it has occurred to me. I see you around here a lot; we obviously follow a lot of the same teachers (Doug, Jon Harris, Joel Webon, etc). So I feel like I’ve gotten to know you a bit from reading all your comments. I understand that you are in a difficult situation, and I know you’re not the only one. (But didn’t I see you recently asking questions about moving to Zambia? So even in your situation you’re thinking and it.) Don’t be upset at me for giving the obvious answer because you are an exception. But to defend my comment, I did not try to give an ultimatum; I did not say this is the only answer. I made a suggestion. And I do believe that there are many more who could move than those who can’t.

Praying for you now, Yesica. There are a number of Reformed congregations in Chicago (OPC/PCA). Can be a mixed bag but I hope you find a congregation that blesses you (and one in which you can be a blessing to others).

Hmmm... exegete the culture and the Scriptures... the Chiefs of Issachar had 87,000 men at their command. These 'wise and discerning men' produced many valiant warriors because... 'they had many wives.' 1 Chr. 7:3-5!

@@sammyt4549 Yeah because they are compatibilist. But that’s ultimately deterministic because they believe God chooses who he will regenerate and makes them receptive. In other words their free will is tweaked so they can believe while others are left in depravity.

@@davidcole1475 our free will coincides with our nature. We are totally free to do what we want. Apart from the Holy Spirit working in us, all our desires are tainted by sin because that is our only nature. We need a new nature to have a will according to it.

20:25 According to Stephen, Acts 7:38, the ekklesia was at Mt Sinai. According to Jeremiah 31, the New Covenant is with the house of Israel and the house of Judah (Israel, the family). The rest of Jeremiah 31, both before and after the new covenant, YHVH affirms that He will restore the people and Jacob will NEVER cease to be a family before Him... and the New covenant will write Torah on their (our) hearts. Confirmed in Ezekiel 36:26-27 in context; 37:24-28, and even in the very Malachi 4 passage Doug cites!! See for yourself... v. 4, 'ordinances and statutes'... Sons of Issachar rightly divide the Word instead of eisegeting replacement theology. People better figure out how they are part of the Biblical Israel (along with what that entails) and not the christian religion's replacement Israel.

"Issachar is a strong ass couching down between two burdens; and he saw that rest was good, and the land that it was quiet." (Gen. 46.14.) "Issachar," says Gesenius, "may be read, he brings reward." (Heb. Lex., p. 430.) True, since by June the harvest is secured. Issachar may also be read, "He kicked the Devil down stairs "literally, however, Issachar means "he brings strong drink and this reading identifies him with the Dionysus or Bacchus of the Greeks. Jacob, Issachar's father, had his thigh dislocated in a wrestling bout with Jahveh (Jupiter/Summer), while striving for the blessing - wine. Besides, the two syllables issa and nysa common to both names point to a common origin, " Issachar is Asaker or Zagreus (Bacchus), and the name is punned upon by assimilating it to the Hebrew sekari = hire." (Dunlap, Spirit History of Man, p. 267.) The punning was doubtless done by means of the Hebrew vowel-points, which "did not exist until near a thousand years after the Hebrew ceased to be spoken." Issachar’s standard is the northern ass star in Cancer. He is closely associated with Zebulun (Capricorn) whose standard is the ship Argo navis. The summer solstice, in Cancer, is the biblical Jerusalem of the free woman. Six months later we reach the winter solstice in Capricorn where we find the Jerusalem of the hand-maid. The word zion/sion means ship-sun and is also the winter solstice in Capricorn. This is borrowed from the Egyptian myth of Ra (sun) sailing across the celestial seas in a barque (crescent moon). Here the sun is the phallus (Adam) and the moon is the vagina (Adamah) is also Asher and Asherah (Tor and Torah).

So, what about the tribe of Issachar ? Bible says 12000 of each tribe. So that means their descendants are here. Where are they ? your message had nothing to do about them rather where you stand on political issues. Give to Cesar what is Cesar’s and to GOD what is of GOD.
