The Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad’s media train invites members of the media to ride and experience the railroad. The train typically runs a few days before the normal operating season begins, allowing everyone onboard the chance to ride the train before the public.
On May 21, 2024, four days before the season began, I got an early start and left Albuquerque long before dawn to ride this special, exclusive train. It was a long day for me but a fun one at that! I have never gotten an invite like this before, so I felt this was definitely worth documenting!
