On the first day of our journey along the Cumbria Way, the breathtaking vistas and pleasant weather have exceeded our expectations. It was a relatively shorter day of hiking, covering just eight miles, akin to a stroll for hobbits. Our destination for the night is the Red Lion in Lowick Green. Along the way, we were treated to stunning panoramas of the majestic Old Man of Coniston and the enchanting fells, enhancing our experience of the natural beauty that surrounds us.
