Game of the year as far as aesthetics, it's hard for me considering how much I adore Persona 5, but Cuphead is up there.

Speaking of glitches, for me at least (PC Player here too), during the fight with Ribby & Croaks, sometimes one of the flaming flies that Croaks spits out freeze in place, and you can't shoot it out. It's just stays there with no hitbox for the rest of the fight. It's really just a minor glitch though, I myself think this game is, to quote the game announcer, "A great Slam & then some."

Did you play Ruiner yet? It falls in the same challenging category but does it diffrently then cuphead. A great game on its own.

Why did you use footage of late bosses and the final boss? Most people watching a review haven't even bought it yet. Part of the fun in Cuphead is going to a stage and being suprised by a brand new boss that you've never seen before

This game does look fun. I'm glad that levels, and bossfights are as short as they are, gets annoying having to fight a boss with essentially 3 big ass healthbars (we all know who I'm talking about) who attacks super fast, and can kill you in near 2, or 3 hits.

Calling it now: Cuphead will top the best games of the year for every KZfaqr, but the Game Awards for 2017 will not mention it. They may even make negative awards (think Razzies) just to bash it.

The problem with brilliant games like these, the developers are artists not coders. Meaning they didn't hire a coding team for the development and used one of those premade game engines that only require a little bit of scripting to create a game. Creativerse suffers from the same flaw. This leads to a beautiful and innovative game, but a very bad game experience due to the huge lag (scripting causes lag) and bugs (lack of real coders). Many new Indie game dev studios need to learn that they need real coders to tailor the game engine to their game instead of scripting one.
