Thanks Ruth, great time saving tip. Haven't tried yet but if you store the background images in an Azure public folder, its possible to update the images without having to edit the reports.

I have a quick question, I have been trying to recreate the same plain background just like you have it in the video but can't figure it out, do you mind helping me out? Also, after making the modification in visual studio, how did you get to apply it to Power BI? Thanks.

I think people really overlook this aspect of PBI. I think I spend more time on Navigation and look than anything else!

A warning though. Backgrounds creates a pleasing first glance but just adds clutter in all other scenarios. Great for front pages in apps, not so much so for actual reports. Consider using a uniform color that separates visuals and creates a dark mode feel.

This is good but I don't have the energy to do this right now. Just being honest. Many thanks, however. Maybe I will return to this in the future.

The unfortunate thing is that base64 URL's have a limit to the file size. But it's perfect for encoding small images, like icons. Ruth, did you know that you can infuse your theme file with additional fully custom icons (for your conditional formatting)?

I love the intention and Ruth (anyway) But this should be much easer than agitating in json code.

Thank you. I heard about this called as scrims, which is a bunch of background images. Is it possible to use multiple images, and let user choose the one that is required?

Isn't it easier to put page image in a background on the first sheet, then duplicate that sheet ?
