I’m glad you mentioned the “potential” breakage. I had noticed that a couple of videos back. It may not be breakage though; It may be NEW GROWTH from shed hair in that area. Either way I hope that changing the part and lowering your chair under the drier will help with frizziness. My hair is nowhere near as gorgeously thick and dense as yours is, so I discovered that I can actually use a heat resistant shower cap when I sit under the hooded dryer on cool or low setting, my hair dries 85% of the way and my hair was much less frizzy in the crown area w/o the heat blowing directly on my hair. The leave in may been softening the hold. I am in NJ for 6 six weeks and I am not using leave ins because my hold will not last in the humidity. Your hair looks great.

You could be right. I didn't think to try and use the gel alone; I just prefer to add leave-ins to make sure my hair is moisturized. Thanks for tuning in.

Hi Rae Thanks for part 2 of the Curl Origin. I like this combo better. More definition and less frizz after applying the products and after drying still good definition and shine and more elongation with using the EcoStyler. Today is my wash day and I don’t care for middle parts for myself but I actually did it today too 🤭. I just wanted my size parts to rest and I am already thinning on top 😮, but like you say That’s real life.

Hi! I am getting better, still have lingering cough every now and again, but definitely better. We had a great time in DC and Sherry is a sweetheart. What Texture ID leave-in are you speaking of (i.e. spray, 3x moisture or something else)?

Hi Rae! Beautiful results! Question: what’s your favorite strong hold gel? I live in GA & I can’t get more than 4 days with this heat! I definitely feel like I use to get 6-7 days with my wash n gos 😩

Hi I like Alikay Naturals Lemongrass Gel, Wetline and Eco Olive Oil Gel for strong holds. However, I am not a strong hold gel lover anymore; I prefer softer holds now. I also don't try to get a week out of my wng's. I will usually redo my hair around day 4 because it cuts down on tangles and it keeps my hair from drying out. What did you use when you were getting 6-7 days? Were you in a different climate then?

Hi Rae. Question… you said u don’t usually go more than 4 days with your wash n go. What is the reason? Is it dryness or loss of definition? For me I notice between 4 and 5 days I struggle with dryness but I hang in there for 7 days. I may rethink that…

I usually wash between 4-5 days because it cuts down on my tangles and shed hair. The more often you do your hair, the less time it takes to detangle and it does replenish moisture. If you feel your hair is getting dry at day 4 or 5, then I would say it's time to restyle. Your hair will let you know when it needs water. Thanks for the question and for tuning in.

Maybe my hair gets stiff from gel because I use a hair color rinse from time to time I haven’t embraced my gray hair yet 🥴every time I try to I give up and rinse it.

Not sure. Hopefully, as my grays keep coming in, I'll be able to give some tips for graying hair. Right now I have grays in my crown area, but not enough that they are making a huge difference in my style or with my products. Thanks for tuning in.
