Rae thank you so much for this video 🥰💙… I pre-poo 99.9% of the time and use NLS pre-poo, Neges Banda Chebe Pre-poo, African Pride or a cheap rinse out conditioner.. I’m definitely getting this e-book and cards (they are beautiful) .. thanks Rae 🥰💙

Is there a different way that you would refresh a twist out that originated with leave in and mousse from the way you refresh your wash n gos that originated with leave in and gel? Do you still do the same thing of refreshing with a hair milk? How would you have refreshed this particular twist out? Thanks so much! I learn so much from you! 😊

at first i was using the African pride prepoo but now i use the Vo5 strawberries & cream conditioner cuz it was only $1.25 at family dollar & since im just using it to detangle & then rinsing it right back out, i don’t think it’s necessary to spend anymore than that lol but i did really love the African Pride prepoo tho… nothing against it at all

I did a prepoo today for the first time in a year. It's mostly because I have been wearing my hair out more rather than twists. I agree; using water with your prepoo is definitely a must. Back when I first went natural, I didn't use water, and I struggled with my very coily, fine-to-medium, high-porosity strands. I have noticed so many people with my particular hair type going back to relaxing, so it's important every natural learns to properly detangle. You are doing a public service, Rae.

Thanks so much because of you I have been treating my hair so much better. I had a good wash day this Saturday. A couple a weeks ago I had a bad wash day but when I saw your video on the just me pre poo and you did a comparison with African pride pre poo I looked at the way you was handling your hair I said to myself I’m going to start sectioning my hair to because I used to just wash my hair without sectioning now I wash in four sections. This video is even better. I’m going to follow this routine on my next wash day. Up and out and piano fingers . Yes 👍🏾 I’m going to save so much more hair now. I have to share this video with my sister.
@NaturalRaeRae3 күн бұрын
Hi Jennifer! I am so glad to hear that my videos are helping you. Yes, I believe in sectioning the hair for several reasons (i.e. easier application of products, easier detangling, making sure to get every strand and into the root area, etc.). I'm also glad to hear that you are going the share this video with your sister and anyone else you think it might benefit. Thanks so much for tuning in and sharing your journey with me.💛

Omg, I have never pre poo. That’s more steps 😩. I just use water and detangle. Chile I’ve been doing this all wrong and I am 50 I need all my hair lol. Now I need to look for a pre poo. Love the information about Knot Today
@NaturalRaeRae4 күн бұрын
Don't feel bad Tamara. I don't always prepoo either; I feel it is an extra step, as well. But every now and then, when I feel my hair is extra tangled or I just want to pamper it a little more, then I will pre-poo. It doesn't hurt to do it and it can help, so why not. Like I said in my video, you can use an inexpensive rinse out conditioner to pre-poo, you don't have to go out and spend a lot of money. Just use what you have. Thanks for tuning in and I'm glad you enjoyed the info on the e-Book.

Hi Rae my favorite gel is the NLS Okra gel and it’s a hard holding gel for me since my hair is fine and I paired it with the sister Avocado and I use some anti breakage serum before adding the gel to help with the crunch and the ramen noodle look which I am no longer a fan of that much definition (prefer volume or definition )lol and I like the African Pride curl defining gel so far. I still 3-4 gels I have yet to try but I have been eyeing that SheScentit Tahiti for a while now.

Hi Rae. I’m loving your hair today. The style is gorgeous. New haircut I assume. I liked the Aunt Jackie’s ice gel. It worked really good on my hair. My new gel I’m currently using and loving is ORS Olive Oil Ultra Hold Curl clumping gel. It’s infused with avocado oil for moisture. This works really well on my hair. Hair comes out shiny and nice curls. Last me for a good 6-7 days. If you’re willing to try it I would love to see a review. Thank you for the video. As always you come through with good content. ❤

I've been using the Obia Naturals curl enhancing custard for 12 years and never get flaking with it. I usually use it over a lighter leave in, like one from SheScentIt, but have also used it over their sweet almond heavy cream, their curl moisture cream and over humectant-based gels like UFD's curly magic and it always works.
