Thank you a lot for making those episodes. I know that documenting the sessions is not for every party, but whatever doubts you might have, those episodes are honestly amazing and incredible, from the sound quality to the characters themselves. Keep up the good work

Man, the sound effects make such a noticeable difference. I can't help but giggle when the dwarf goes to interject in a conversation and you just hear footsteps from him sprinting up to the group lmao

Already hooked from just the first ep, smashing job! Voice acting and the sound effects are top tier, Kris could be a legit dwarven voice actor in any AAA game. How much experience do y'all have in RPGs? Feels like you've been playing together for years. The DM is also excellent and knows when to interject and when to let the characters play out. (And the PCs carry their moments smoothly and play off each other)

Much love to you guys. Boren and Wendle have a great dynamic, great characters. The DM'ing is wonderful and descriptive. This is fantastic! I'm make a dwarf fighter or paladin and Boren is giving me lots of inspiration.

I'm finally jumping in after watching the shorts, and listening to the actual show. The entire crew and production quality is amazing, but Kris is an absolute genius! Not only the voice, but Boren's personality and the player's eloquence and knowledge about his lineage, religion, manners and everything makes it incredibly authentic and sometimes it's so good it feels like it cannot be improv. My only gripe is that I can't stand players asking for rolls or, even worse, just stating they're rolling for something without the DM asking for it. It might be worth asking them to describe what they want to do instead.

But again, very much appreciated 😎 Our table does a lot of “shared rolls” - both DM and Players calling for rolls. Ultimately it’s up to the DM, but if a player feels an impulse to make a check, then it’s usually obliged. Do you do most the the DM’ing in your group(s)??

@@DwarvenMoss Yeah, I've been a forever DM since my teenage years (and I love it). I find it kinda hurtful when players ask for rolls as many things can be solved without one, or if they roll high they expect to be successful and that might not be the case. Or another roll could be more appropriate, like Survival instead of Perception when hunting. I believe the DM knows (or should know) better in this regard. That said, if that's deliberately the way you play and everyone agreed to it, it's fine and I don't think it will upset me too much as everything else is so so good.

Totally okay with you playing a different way, but I love when players ask to roll because I often forget to include ability checks and I think it’s more fun if players get to use the abilities they spent time choosing and putting points into! I probably need more practice remembering, but at least for now I love when players get to use their abilities I forgot about 😊😊

Digging it. The production/editing is on point! I'm curious if combat will always be strictly narrative/theater of the mind. Do you guys use a battlemap in person (one that we can't see on screen)?

@@omnishangout747 Maybe try having a session 0 zero and find out loosely what people are looking forward to about the game and use that feedback for when you dm... some players just like to grind and murderhobo, some players are into role-play (talking their way out of situations, using voices, etc). See what styles you can mix in with your own so everyone in the group gets a piece of what they like. Don't get too bogged down in the rules if it's too much, you can always move forward look them up later... Have fun and may the beard of Moradin bless you! Let us know how it all goes when you get the campaign cooking :D

Dialogue can be boring, but that’s why we have layered SFXs and original music, so it’s nowhere near being boring as F - more like ENJOYABLE LISTENING EXPERIENCE AS F!!!
