A tribute to one of the most Legendary Boxing Trainer/Manager Cus D'Amato.. He was a great trainer, a great manager but above all he was a far greater person. His connection with his fighters were much more personal than professional. He was a schoolar of Boxing, obsessed with the psychology of fighting & fear..

Albert Einstein’s didn’t invent a damn thing. Cus is the Nikola Tesla of boxing. He wasn’t given recognition because he had. Two strikes against him. 1 he wasn’t a Jew. 2 he was a threat to the government.

if you're watching this video and you feel a fire in your heart then feed it, feed the flame. It's just like faith , its better to live your life like it's the truth and find out it was all a lie then it is to live your life as if it were a lie then later find out it was the truth. Chase your dreams don't fall for the hate, keep training keep building yourself and most of all stay humble. I'm tired of watching cowards make money in boxing some one stand up and rise to the top someone with pain in their heart so that they may give it their all.

D'Amato is the greatest trainer of all time because he had exact answers, tactics and conditioning methods to over come the most effective weapon in boxing, the jab from a taller fighter. If you can effectively avoid and counter a fighters jab, it is likely that he will not be able to land any of his other punches.

Yes D'Amato was one of a kind, before Muhammad Ali got on the plane to Zaire he called cus and asked him how to defeat George Foreman, cus replied that in order to beat George Ali must come out and show George that he wasn't afraid of him because George was a bully type and by standing up to the bully in George he would lose heart and lose, we all remember what ali did in the first round with the right hand leads ! The rest is history.

+mymentor he's up there. Very smart boxing mind. I just don't understand why he trained such a one dimensional style as his style only knows how to come forward. That's why floyd patterson and cus ducked sonny liston for the longest time because it was a nightmare matchup stylistically. He shouldve taught his fighters how to box when swarming didnt work.. but i guess height and reach were the reasons why he never did.

I've spent many years trying to experience this click in my mind, where I turn on and take everything I know, then create this awesome life. Today I've realized that it takes a spark to create a roaring blaze. That spark has to be fueled and energized by consistent action, visualization, positive thinking, and the works. That is why I ended up here because I remembered this speech. Then it did not register but today it really has. That roaring blaze doesn't happen overnight if you aren't taking action and fueling your spark with the right fuel.

I just discovered and uncovered this beautiful tribute of Cus D' Amato. And I'm in love with it, the philosophies portrayed in this tribute are on another level. I've probably watched this video more than 10 times already lol

Tyson and D'Amato were made to meet, Tyson had this uncontrolled inner rage, and D'Amato knew how to control that, and he knew what would happen if someone mentored Tyson.

DAN MUSCLEGOD because Teddy was a bit of a thug growing up, you cant discredit the guy as a trainer just because of his reaction to Mike. Teddy didnt get his face scar by going to tea parties

jesus christ, a true man guiding young men. we need more of this today so many single moms trying to raise men but fall short, we should start some kind of shelter where young men with no role models come and sit and talk with legends and extrodinary people, all of us have that spark!

Man just look at those moves. Mike threw 3 perfect uppercuts shadowboxing like hes a lightweight lmao that's freakish coordination and skill that needed even just throwing it at the airthe timing, accuracy, power, blinding speed, and intelligence...he installed a radar like sense in Mike that involved being very calm so u can detect punches and their angles they're coming from..cause boxers are taught WHERE U ARE GOING TO BE, not where u are at the moment. Cus D'amato, manufacturer of world champions.
