Custom Build Auto Door Lock for Toyota C HR

Toyota C-HR unfortunately doesn't come with an auto door lock facility, once the car starts moving. Here is a video showing how to build and install a custom module for this. This might look very technical, but if any company produces this as an after market accessory, installation can be made simpler. Also if we can find out a wire that is live/grounded, once the car starts moving we can use a simple timer based relay to do the door auto closing instead of the micro-controller based approach shown in this video.

Very impresive. Wife has the 18 ch r le and ahe misses the autodoor locks feature from her Civic. The othe issue is the rear hatch. Shes almost 70 and the rear hatch is heavy for her. Been looking seem to sell around 400. IDK if their all same quality. Last complaint is the stereo lacks navigation or any android options. I wonder if that stereo is the same as the factory navigation one or if theres an upgrade. I watched your AV wiring video. That car lacks 12v,usb ports. This day and age? Any input appreciated. Hi Rajeev. Hope your well. Where did you get the black rubber hose that you put the wiring through for the electric tail gate installation on the Toyota CHR

hey i try to do the same thing with Ariduno for my 2009 Aurion. i found the door switch wire ( yellow next to the driver seat along the trim) and i tapped into it. For this wire, when door is open, it is 12v, when door is closed, it is 0v. after i tapped the wire without connected any thing. and i drive to toyota again. VSC light came out once the car start rolling. i chicked out and removed the tapped wire, and warning light is still there. i had to disconnected and reconnect the battery for the code to go away. any ideas? when i was tapping into the door wire, the car was on a slop. when i disconnect and reconnect the battery, the car was on a flat ground. does it matter?

Please check if the wire you tapped is not a CAN Bus pair

Hi I am also interested in doing the same in my car. I guess in India Maruti Suzuki has a plug and play coupler for central locking remote and oem central locking has the feature of auto door. Kindly help if you can I want to try it on my Alto K10. Thanks in Advance

Hi I have the 2020 CHR and the circuit is different, not sure with area to connect the wires too

Maybe you can buy an after market OBDII auto door lock module. At the time of creating this video CHR was just launched and nothing was available. But now you can see lot of after market plug & play devices

Unfortunately that will not work as I have a Head up Display plugged into the OBD.

You can buy a splitter to have 2 OBDs. Have seen few guys here in Singapore using it. But not sure if it works for you.
