Our friend Cody aka DoctaM3 brought his very cool Lamborghini Perfomante to the Detail Garage for some tender love and care. He loves his car which is why he chooses Chemical Guys. The gorgeous purple finish is protected with a vinyl wrap that resists scratches, swirls, rock chips, water spots and etching but it still requires just as much care to prevent damage and enhance longevity. This car stands out on its own but now it's a real head turner thanks to Watermelon Snow Foam.

OMG OMG I think I lost my mind a little bit finally a Lamborghini!! Holy man it seems like it’s a rare car to come through the detail garage. What a car the colour is amazing!! Hey, not at all, glad to jump in and interact, I really love your videos. I'm new to the detailing world and have fallen in love with it! Oh absolutely, Lamborghini really nailed it with the Perf. And yes, this deep purple is awesome. I'm from Ireland, and there's a guy in England, Tony from Gravelwood Cars, on Instagram, who is renowned for hating Lambos. His heart is with Ferrari, however he got the opportunity to jump on a beautiful British racing green Performante recently, and to say he is now converted because of this car is an understatement. Yep you sure will. Thanks

Love your videos and products..question for you though..I got my hands on some vvivid headlight film a rather large amount...now I know it's not PPF but can I use it as such on the body or will it ruin the paint

Hey Ivan, we appreciate the love. It's best to keep the film on the headlights, there's no telling how the film will bond to the paint, if in doubt, contact the company that makes the film. Perhaps they some do's and don'ts on the company website. When in doubt, don't do it.

Chemical Guys I’ve recently gotten more serious about the wonderful upsides of proper detailing and am looking for a good all around polishing.compounding.waxing machine for an educated novice. I want one thats good for all uses but safer than a rotary machine. I see you have a few different to choose from which is best for my needs? please help

Chemical Guys thanks for your help. Your representative via phone was also very helpful. I just have one more question I am purchasing the kit you linked me off your eBay site profile.. I’ve watched so many of your great videos and am looking to restore my Black Tls I live in an apartment complex but I have an outlet and a shaded area to do my compounding work. What are some tips and things to look out for if the only place you can derail your car is outside?

How do I wash a vehicle with deionized water in the desert with out putting myself in a position of getting water spots. As I’m just starting out doing mobile work. I know their are ez-ups but is that significant enough in vegas during summer. if I can avoid a ez up that would be awesome as it’s not that ez to set up with one person

Can a PPF protected car be clayed, sealed, or waxed after washing?

Hi Robert, good question. The short answer is: it depends. All PPF is different and some can be sealed and waxed while others can't. Nick, you are still the only guy I see washing a car without rinsing the snow foam off. Why is this? I mean this car is clean prior to washing so maybe it's ok. On a filthy UK car, I apply foam without a rinse, rinse foam, then 2 bucket it.

Hi William, thanks for the comment. As you can see, Nick first rinsed the car with a pressure washer, getting all the loose dirt off. He then used our Watermelon Snow Foam Auto Wash, which lubricates the surface. Powerful hyper surfactants cut through dirt and grime, lifting them from sensitive automotive paintwork with billions of scrubbing bubbles, then safely lubricates and guides them off the paint for a scratch-free wash. Some detailers on here say to apply the snow foam to a dry car prior to any rinsing as this helps the product cling to the dirt. I note you rinsed the car first, is there a right or wrong way to snow foam. Thanks

what kind of pressure washer do you guys use? preferably what psi it has. i can’t seem to get the same about of suds when using the foam cannon with my pressure washer

Hi Carter, thanks for watching. We use a gas operated pressure washer with a PSI of 2800 and a GPM of 2.3. From our experience, the gas operated model works better. Gas pressure washers have better GPM, that's what really produces the best foam. In the video, Nick also uses Chemical Guys Watermelon Snow Foam Cleanser with a TORQ Big Mouth Foam Cannon to produce the most suds. As he mentions in the video, he also uses warm water in the foam cannon as this will help aerate the product as you're foaming. Hi Bill, we do. Chemical Guys makes two waterless washes, EcoSmart and Swift Wipe. EcoSmart contains carnauba wax, lubricants and gloss enhancers. Swift Wipe is a formula that doesn't use Carnauba, it utilizes gloss enhancers, advanced cleaning agents and gloss enhancers to deliver a clean shine. I personally have used EcoSmart and I love it very much, it leaves my car glossy and clean. I'll leave you a link to the products below so you can check them out. Guys I’m not gonna lie I have trouble getting think suds with my big mouth foam cannon what setting do you guys use? What’s the proper dilution ratio? I use warm water but when I mix the water and soap I open it up and I have created some foam not a whole lot but a bit. Plz help

Hi Cristian I was about to recommend the Top Five Foaming Tips video but I noticed you already saw it. Here are my recommendations for getting good suds. What kind of pressure washer are you using, if your's is electric, it's probably low GPM. Hi GPM pressure washers are preferred. Ours is a Gas pressure washer with 2800PSI and 2.3GPM. Use warm water, don't shake the bottle because that creates foam on the inside, roll the bottle with your wrist, the right amount of soap should be anywhere from 1-5 ounces, you will have to experiment with that to find out which soap to water ratio works better. Here's a link to the Dilution chart on the Chemical Guys website which better illustrates how much soap to use in relation to how much water you'll need. Hey Soviet Clutch, it's a real purple Lamborghini, a very eye catching car that requires a soft touch otherwise you could do some real harm. Fortunately Corey applied a paint protective film which repels contaminants and prevents harsh contaminants from etching into the paint. With a car as expensive as this, you need to use the right technique to avoid any all scratches.

Any issues using pressure washer with clear bra?

Hi Rich, good question. When used properly, a pressure washer shouldn't damage your clear bra. Stay the recommended distance away from the car. Do not get too close to avoid the high pressure and to evenly distribute the soapy mixture across your car. When rinsing your car, don't use the strong jet stream option, use the wide fan option instead. Don't shoot the stream directly at the seams of your wrap.
