Meanwhile, if the customer doesn’t get what they want. They throw a tantrum. Hate to break it to you but the “customer” is not always right. Walmart is NOT the place to buy a car battery or to get your car serviced!... That’s why there are service centers like Firestone. Firestone installs inferior after market parts, and does not stand behind their work. I have been there. The man behind automotive counter sent him to the front of the store, so he could wait 20 minutes, only to be sent to the back of the store, where batteries have to be returned. Batteries have to be handled a certain way, due to federal rules and regulations/laws. They are a hazardous material due to both the acid and the lead and they can not be disposed of. My Auto Electric instructor once told me that people should never buy any electrical parts at any Auto part store and should the OEM parts from original dealership unless you wanna replace the parts every few year. And it's true what he said

I understand the customers point of view, but at the same time, instead of getting mad at the employee going off on him, he could have said “Hey, you gave me the wrong information, I’m a little frustrated, may I speak to your supervisor?” The employee did get a little snotty, but at the same time, think of it.. He deals with people like this on a daily basis, and I myself, use to work for Walmart, and I have had my share of some rude customer. For everyone that commented on this, let me ask you this. Let’s say this employee clocked out, he sees this annoying customer outside of work, let’s say the employee goes up to him, mind you he’s off the clock, and he confronts the customer that berated him at work, what’s the customer gonna do? What’s Walmart gonna do? Once an employee is off the clock, though it is highly not recommended, they can confront somebody outside of work, and basically tell the that irate customers out themselves and where they should go. I’ve done it before,”. I’ve seen this lady outside of work, that decided to harass me while I was on the job in Walmart, record me, and call me a faggot, and told me that she’d beat my ass,. But, funny thing is, I see this bitch at Mcdonalds a mile down the street the very next day, this bitch looks at me, and quickly turns away... You know why?? Because she knows that I am not at work and she knows that in public I’m not going to put up with her bullshit. I confronted her, and I’m not gonna lie, I Punched her, and called her a few derogatory names. Never saw her at Walmart ever again.,As soon as the employee is clocked out, when he is outside of work, and he sees this man, there is no “Customer employee relationship”. They are just two strangers on the street. So, whoever this is, don’t be surprised if this man sees you outside of work, and you end up getting your ass whooped.

Rightly said. I from UK and work in retail too and we used to have this rude customer come in all the time argue with us and say customer is always right and she pays us wages. Guess what? The woman works at a hospital near my house. My late mum (we lost her this year on April 15) had and appointment and I went with her. I saw that garbage woman working in hospital and she tried avoiding me but couldn't as she is a hospital worker(public service worker so in UK she is public servant) and her other colleague was busy. When she came out she was all smiley and professional. I didn't say anything than. What happened she arrived my mum in an hour late than her booked time we waiting for long time and doctor didn't call. After another colleague came back to front desk and I went to her to check why so late. She told me we were late I asked her how do my mum arrived on time. Lucky a patient waiting second time after seeing doctor was there and witnessed me registering my mum and worker asked who arrived my mum in I pointed to the other woman. Immediately she apologized and said she booked my mum an hour late after hearing this I was fuming and I confronted that btch woman about her incompetence and she should be working in hospital with public..I shouted at her like she does at my workplace and complained about her. I said to her I am the member of the public even at work but you are working for hospital public service so you get paid by us and we pay you your wages. She shutted up immediately as she was trying to defend herself and I told her to do her job properly. I complained to her manager and as on her and manager lanyard had full details of her and manager like full name, health service employee number and department I took it up with national health service complaints department by email who got back to me saying she has been dealt with. Not sure she there still because I don't go to that hospital anymore and also I don't see her horrible face at shop again after that incident.

I also had this problem at the Bentonville, Arkansas store. The battery was bad but would not hold a charge. Wal-Mart said policy was to not replace the battery even though it was a 5 year battery. I took battery to Rogers, Arkansas store and they said battery was bad and gave me a new battery. This was covered up by the department manager so the general office would not hear of this. The general office knows this and their policy is to take your money no matter if the product is good or bad and to hell with the purchaser.

I work in ACC and first of all it doesn't Better if he tested the battery or if Auto zone tested the battery we have to test it ourselves. Plus we can do those transactions, in ACC

People that don’t work there , telling people that do how to do their job , if you know so much , you should be running that store , today’s retail business gives very little training , they used to give 40 to 45 hours to train , now they’re lucky to get a day , not fair to the customer , or the employee
