Cricut presses are notoriously off on temp vs what they're reading out. It's either you need a longer press, or the surface of the ball needs sterilized first to avoid any oily barriers etc. Sometimes several short presses will get the job done vs one long press. Keep in mind how rough a ball is bouncing on concrete, the htv is going to wear. We like things like this as a display piece. What you could do that may be a touch easier, is get some adhesive vinyl, cut it, weed it in reverse to make a stencil, then sponge paint your design or lettering on. -TRW Crystal

Matt had experimented with this, and he'd found it best to use for display. The HTV will not tolerate being bounced off of concrete etc for long, it's not made for that. It will still adhere to whatever you want to press it to but the actual abuse of the ball is going to make the HTV fail. -TRW Crystal >>DID YOU KNOW?

+Wendy I We have not had any balls pop however, they have been known to do so. Every so often allow the ball to rest from away from the heat to prevent accidental popping. TRW Casey
