The IQ 228 Cyclone 7" Tile saw can cut tile, dry, no water needed to cool the blade. The saw uses a high capacity vacuum that collects all the dust into a tray, eliminating the need for water and possible damage to interior floors. In cold climates, problems stemming from water freezing in the tray are also eliminated. The quality and speed of tile cuts are the same as you would get from a similar wet saw. All tile installed by Sal DiBlasi, Elite-tile Company, in the Boston North Shore area. Hey Sal, is there much chipping on the cut edges with the dry cut? Just curious since it’s always hard to tell on camera. Looks beautiful as always!

I own the saw, there is a lot of chipping it’s still a good saw to have , it’s ok for commercials jobs or areas that the edging gets covered kind of like how it does in the video

If you match the blade to the tile being cut, chipping is acceptable.

Get yourself a mount for the camera mate, for $20 you'll save yourself the risk of injury using a saw one-handed.

Big fan of these saws. I own two of them. My only complaint is that if you cut upside down the sliding tray side can mark up tile because dirt and grime stick to that less smooth surface.

I want to buy one to be faster at commercial jobs but after watched few videos I notices a lot CHIPS flying when cutting I’m worry of chips edges especially on walls bathroom 🧐 if there is any chip edges the supervisor not gonna approve the job, I would like someone have one honestly tell me if I’m right

Can't work out if you're using a levelling system on an uneven floor how the tile isn't pulled away from the adhesive ?

It should given he is keeping the tile still, if it can vibrate too much it will chip. Speed is also a factor. Slower is less likely to chip. Also, some tile materials chip very easily, like porcelain while others are more forgiving.
