This is a really well done product. I'm an Arch guy, but this is definitely something that could be recommended to a new user once it reaches release.

Hello sir, I have a question. How can I mainly use Debian but be able to also use ChatletOS or Cutefish by just swapping between the two when I load up Debian without the need to emulate?

I'm just not a person that likes the pastell colors and cutesy looking stuff.. but it works GREAT and even dark just didn't seem right.. Yes, CutefishOS Beta made a lot of progress. This is a more Mac-like Linux distro with a "dock+dashboard" style instead of menus with the intent to keep things very functional but as simple as possible. It is likely not a good choice if you use tons of software apps but most people only use a few basics, so, maybe just right for this "keep it simple" style. CutefishOS seems to be targeting a niche of Windows or Mac users as an alternative to Elementary OS or ChromeOS. Even in its 0.8 Beta state, CutefishOS already seems more stable and problem-free than my testing of Elementary OS on older hardware. Since all software repositories are in China, software installation was on the slow side. To speed things up, I inserted a better/faster Debian 11 repository at the top of /etc/apt/sources.list and then had to fix a GPG error. This adds more software options via Synaptic or from Terminal "sudo apt install [package-name]" in TERMINAL: sudo apt install synaptic sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list --- # MX Community Main and Test Repos deb la.mxrepo.com/mx/repo/ bullseye main non-free --- in TERMINAL: sudo curl teharris.net/mx21repo.asc -o /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/mx21repo.asc sudo apt update sudo apt upgrade Since this is a QT (not GTK) based distro, I used Synaptic to install some basic low-resource QT software: Kolourpaint, Ksnip (screenshot), Kwrite, Transmission-QT and a few non-QT apps like Filezilla From the CutefishOS software store, I added OnlyOffice, Stacer, and Grub Customizer

Cutefish is available on arch community repo.

Hi, Ermanno. Lastly I tried to install Bspwm on Alma Linux. I couldn't find a way to do this. Alma is so different from distributions debian-based and arch-based that I normally use. I think that even Alpine is more usable 😉. Some of KZfaqrs claim: take any distro because in the end it's all Linux. But every time I try Alma, I stucked. Maybe you could make some more videos about that other branch of Linux distros.

Hi EF! I like your content because it's usually well researched. But here I wanted to add something. I might be picking up an unnecessary debate, but I believe you should have at least mentioned about Cyber OS, which was the original project. There was a split in the team, and most people drifted towards a new group, Cutefish. This included Felix, who is a TU on Arch. Cyber OS wasn't left with much man power, and in the current state, the development is pretty much stalled. Try Cyber OS, and you'll notice many similarities between the two. I'm not meaning to degrade Cutefish, but the drama that happened after the split doesn't speak well of them.

Need help 😂 I got a very very new laptop given to me it is a venbook with like the i9 11 gen with a Nvidia card that is like arch wants to use the wrong one in the wiki! I tried it it crashed Linux mint got the correct one but the wrong Intel driver 😂 it has two monitors on a laptop 😂
