Ya gotta know that when a litigant shows up with a photo album ... sh*t gonna get real! The contractor is wrong in regard to the MDF vs plywood issue, he should have used thicker wood if he thought those shelves would warp, because MDF is a cheap alternative, and it will fall apart far quicker than will plywood. Plus, MDF is cheaper than plywood, which is an issue not even raised, what did the contractor do with the difference in price?

Every time I watch one of these shows the plaintiff takes heat for NOT paying the contract out THEN take it to court. So in this case Judge Milian asked the plaintiff why he paid any money on the day of the install. I just see this as a double standard. If the plaintiff had refused to pay more or the balance in full he would have been painted in a bad light. Which, initially he was. And then the defendant would have been plaintiff instead. The results may have been the same but then the consumer is made out to be the bad guy because he didn't pay the contract. I understand this is a "show" but this show is based on law. I have been very disappointed by many of the "judge shows". I want to person with the law on their side to win not the one that looks good on film.

The contractor did a shody job and was lying about plywood tending to bend with use. It's just the opposite, composite wood has no structural integrity and warps with weight on it as you can see with the cheap particle board bookcases at stores like Walmart. He used a lot of chipboard. Shody and violated the contract. Any construction is buyer beware. Getting cheated is the rule not the exception.

She could not have been a good judge in real court, not this play play arbitration nonsense they pass off as small claims court. Most of yawll who are watching this dont know, this is not real. Once the contractor breaches the contract, there is not much to argue about. If he wanted his entire amount back, with pain and suffering for the inconvenience, there is nothing she could have done but to give him back his entire money. Now, how do you differ arbitration versus court is, in arbitration, all decisions are final and in court, you will have an option to appeal, even if the decision is to dismiss with prejudice or their is an judgement awarded. In this fake court, the decisions are final and are enforced by a real court, because it will state in the contract that they signed before appearing on the show, that they are now entering into a new contract with the production company to play court. At that point, all parties are bound to the contract that they signed to be on the show along with whatever outcome she decides.

The defendant is full of bull. Get your business in order instead of shifting the blame onto your customers. Can't stand business owners like that cuz they're general lazy slackers with more excuses than skill.

Shes one sided with this case. Him going to china is no ones fault but his own. No one should have to put themselves on hold for him

Literally, no one cares if you're the first comment. But then again, if I didn't care I wouldn't be responding to it would I?

Plaintiff is really well off: $3500 for a closet. Should see how his people are in China. Know what hunger is about.

So many plaintiffs get greedy and sue for a full refund. The plaintiff in this case was reasonable, and I believe that was a great boost to his case. This was an interesting one to watch.
