Great advice Scott, my winter work consists of mainly pruning and tidying beds plus some ad-hoc small fencing/slabbing jobs I don't take on anything too large but it's enough cash flow to keep me going until the main season starts again

Anything coming in on top of your regular cash is a bonus mate. Keep pushing those regulars for extra works.

Your right there Scott with the winter jobs. Most of us can't make enough money to work 8 months of the year especially if you want to keep staff

Mower cuts tidy fair play👍had a Viking mower years ago but we're pretty much all etesia now. Enjoy the weekend mate

I’m looking at etesias next week. I like the stihl but would like an etesia in the fleet as they get good ratings everywhere.

Scott, I took 2 new pro 46 on at the start of 2020 and they haven't missed a beat for 2 seasons, generally get 4 years out of them before I sell on and replace with new. They're solid, reliable and collect. I'm always around my guys but mistakes happen and they survive and keep earning. Great kit.... destroying one soon in a review on how tough they actually are😅😬

You will often have crazy grass growth on areas that are near to grazing fields/ waste ground that are dominated by couch grass, if you see rather rectangular shaped grass blades that are often a lighter share of green compared to others.

Good to keep updated if you’re looking to build mate as google moves the websites up the rankings when updates are made.

As always, great advice Scott. This warm weather in the North is helping, October is usually so wet. Got my eye on the Stihl RM655RS Rear Roller Petrol Lawn Mower for next year. All the best.👍🏻

Hi Scott. I'm using this machine for two years already and i still haven't found what's the exact torque for tightening the blade. After sharpening the blade and screwing back the bolt, with low torque the blade doesn't get fixed properly, when tighten te bolt a little bit more, the the blade gets stiff and can't be spinned by hand. Do you have any tips?
@scottellwoodgardening287 Жыл бұрын
I’m sorry I’ve never had any trouble with the tightening. It does sound like you are over tightening so it may be a case of slackening off a few mm each time till it gets the right point. Could your dealer help ?

Nice videomate. I have several of the 248models and they're quote poor in wet weather. They are aimed at the domestic market though
@scottellwoodgardening2872 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate. Yes the 248 are ok for a couple of jobs in good weather but these are ideal for guys who do constant cutting day after day.
@LawnRight2 жыл бұрын
@@scottellwoodgardening287 I've had 3 or 4 of the 248s. Ran them hard and surprised how well they held up (when I had a gardening round) but just dont have the power of the bigger models so struggle in the wet. Really like the 7 series tho mate.. next mower 🤞😊
