The Cybermen follow The Doctor and Sarah Jane, but found themselves face with a Raston Warrior Robot, which totally destroys the cybermen

The fantastic thing about it is how graphically he eviscerates the Cybermen. There was something a little organic about the form factor of the 80s Cybermen that makes their dismemberment quite confronting. Severed arms that twitch, Cyberman that stagger on their feet and cry out in pain, and even one that vomits white fluid. It actually sells the idea that they are cyborgs, and not just robots, extremely well. Kudos to the director of this episode.

This was freaking awesome to watch when I was 12 years old, and is still marvelous 25 years later. If only a Cybermen battle scene in the new series could be as good as this ...

I love that Badass Ripping sound effect as the warrior robot luzzes those razor blades at the cybermen. Seriously he just fucking owned every single one of them single handedly! :O they need to find a way bring him back in the Matt Smith Doctor Who episodes :O I just love that, Ripping off a cyberman's arm, another puking, another getting his face caved in :O Holy Shit that is fucking graphic. I saw this when i was a kid on VHS and i would replay this over and over again.

according to the new adventure novels the raston warrior robot is the last remaining artifact of a race even older than timelords. a renagade timelord sent it after the doctor after the five doctors story, so it may well have survived the timewar.

WOOOW, I love that noise at 0:53-54 "ffff!!!" FFggghFFFF" cuts the cyberman so hard it makes him puke, thats fucking awesome! O.O I fucking loved this as a kid, was the most badass thing Id ever seen until many years later it was topped by the sheer awesomeness of Ninja Scroll :O

THey actually used a Ballet dancer on the suit . I think it worked rather well. THe disappearing was supposed to be it moving so fast the eye/sensor couldnt see it. As for who made it.. there could be a link between Raston and Rassilon but Im guessing its morely likey the people who made such a creation were killed by it.

@DavrosMarioSonic I agree; it does thoroughly emasculate them. At least in the special edition they got to shoot back at the robot which helped to restore a little bit of their dignity. I still like the scene because it is probably one of the best directed and choreographed fights ever done on the original show.

acctuallly they do fire at it,thats the blue lights coming from their gun but their weapons do not effect the robot.

I agree that the raston warrior robots are better than the cybermen maybe even the daleks but, I think that the cybermen that appeared in midnight in silver might be a match for it. Regarding the weeping angel conundrum, Raston warrior robots can't per say see, instead they detect things that have brain synapses or moves, while the weeping angels on the other hand are virtually indestructible except through the weathering of time itself and they're quantum locked....honestly I don't know how one will defeat the other.....this is a mighty situation that you've brought up

Yes, up against the cybermen they might jam because of the same "cyberbrain" thing... maybe. And, I think the really quick cybermen were an approach toward the R.W. (Almost not able to be defeated with out the clunk, clunk, clunk coming at you.) Until responding to your comment, I hadn't known anymore than it's appearance in the 5drs. Didn't account for the prose 8drs! mentioned on tardis.wikia.com I guess I'll have to look up the Weeping Angels there to know what's up with them too! ;) You happen to be responding to a fan who didn't even count the "8th Doctor" until the new series required me to.

@petergreg101 I remember seeing it as a kid and being like O.O (head rolling) .. (Body drops) I was like he is fucking Badass, throwing circular saw that are razor sharp and just rip straight through anyone who gets in the way, Holy Shit he is fucking unstoppable :O
