As for the Implants, Some of them distabilise people into Cyber-Psychos , and in other cases people actually misuse the implants, The situation is not uniform in nature, deflecting won't improve or solve anything.
@SpaceCase132 Жыл бұрын
You’re right. There are some people in the Cyberpunk world who have an inherent natural tolerance to cybernetic implants, where they can have almost a dozen different implants and the worst thing they can suffer is a mild headache when standing too close to a microwave, or people who can’t handle a basic cyberdeck for taking phone calls. On top of that, if a person is also dealing with underlying psychological issues, such as anxiety, PTSD, emotional disorders, or other mental conditions, that can also result in a further destabilizing in the individual’s psyche. There’s also the circumstances in which people get their cyberware, as getting it second-hand from a less-than-second rate ripperdoc could lead to implant rejection or interface issues that could result in psychosis, or getting too much cyberware in too short a time frame can result in the body and mind being unable to adapt to such drastic changes, causing in the dissociation that is commonly seen in cyberpsychos. Unfortunately, much like real mental illnesses in the real world, the process of understanding, codifying, and treatment of conditions like cyberpsychosis is an arduous process that could take years or even decades in-universe to effectively address and reduce the risks that could lead to such a condition.

I like the writting here, when it was pension and social benefits (corporated controlled) public consensus is "Nah it would slow down the economy" but when it comes to opening ocean its WE WANT OUR TRADES! A very materialistic culture that values money WAY more than anything else, especially human lives. Money should serve to improve people's lives but in our society it is already the opposite, COVID was a good example, the general public yell and scream to protest lockdown b/c it would slow down the economy, a direct human lives vs money conflict, I understnad that most ppl who did it are ppl with little to no saving and its a gross economic injustice but it was fueled by the media for sure.

Thing is the rich LOVE the lockdown
@johnny42212 жыл бұрын
You've got it all wrong on covid, the rich wanted lockdowns to destroy small businesses and restructure the economy, did you actually think they cared whether or not you got covid? The rich can afford lockdowns, the poor can't. Klaus Schwab of the WEF has extensively talked and wrote about how the pandemic has been a golden opportunity to build a global government controlled by unelected bureaucrats and industry leaders rather than individual nations with governments directly elected by people.

Those rogue submarines still operating is a bit bullocks, nuclear submarines have fuel for about 30 years and 4th corporate war ended in 2025. They should have ran out of fuel decades before the events of cyberpunk 2077

It is bizarre hoe quite a lot of the things this games want me to consider "distopic" are in fact fantastic virtues in my POV.
@crystallkingh3048 Жыл бұрын
I cant say I agree. Companies should not be allowed to sell faulty products just because they can deflect the blame, when they themselves are the ones pushing people to buy the augments. Pensions and social security are a baseline for any functioning society. When we fail to help people in need, or provide for those who raised us we fail to be human. When profits supersede everything else in a society then everything else will be ignored, peoples lives are put at risk to sail a dangerous ocean, politicians are beholden more to corporations then the people they were elected to serve. And the worst part is that real life is headed in this direction as well, we see the effects that profit above all else has caused; the deaths of millions of people. In Bejing the air is so polluted that people can barely breathe. in the US, in court cases that can either favour a corporation or the people at large, the corporation will win 95% of the time, at the expense of the people. So no, these are not virtues. Oh and jailing (and then brainwashing) a person for saying that pensions are good, goes against free speech, which I hope everyone here supports.
