@Ray-dd6to yes and cyclops was more controlled than her. She’s first to resort to violence (again). And her trigger was being hit in the back of the head with a plank of wood. Isn’t she invulnerable? Yet she instantly assumes it’s him and starts slugging him with super strength. He jumps after the fish and she blasts him back to shore

Okay the only real problem with this story is the fact that again writers not knowing characters abilities. Scott's optic blasts are kinetic force. Carol doesn't absorb kinetic force. Scott's optic blast is a punch😂

@@nelsonisc9670….the problem is that his direct energy blast as kinetic force is not ambient energy. The correct response is “comic book physics”. Unfortunately most times comic writers are just wrong. Considering the vast amount of force needed for his many feats. She should have been pulverized or pushed past the moon and nursing a cranial hemorrhage.

Cyclops and the Hulk are my favourite Marven Chars. Summers is, at least in my eyes, the best team leader and strategiest in all Marvel. And here btw. he should have overloaded carol like he did with bishop.

@@nelsonisc9670I agree with Carol>Bishop, but Cyclops energy output outclasses Carols absorption. He overloaded Apocalypse, who is merged with celestial technology. If Carol tried to use the power Cyclops gave her, she would have created a black hole and killed herself, as they referenced in this issue CM#49 when rogue had to drain her power to save her.

@@Aureilius2112 Overloading apocalypse isn't impressive since he isn't quite known for his profound energy absorption plus he's a jobber! Carol can output enough energy to indirectly destabilize an entire planet, reignite the sun, been stated & shown multiple times to have the power similar to a star/quaser, easily stopped a black hole in her recent solo book titled captain marvel dark tempest etc I'd go look em up for better context cuz carol has consistently generated energy similar to a black hole and didn't kill herself... There's also her solo where she displayed a power output equivalent to a white hole Statements could be quite contradictory by on panel feats it happens alot!

@@Aureilius2112 Just done with it except there's no where in the comic it stated she would kill herself lol either you weren't paying attention or just bad reading comprehension! Infact forge the mutant clearly stated carol's powers are like a star and if she doesn't control them, that is by going supernova, she'd create a black hole that pulls all the team into oblivion! Kwannon AKA Psylocke also confirmed this by trying to reach carol via telepathy but failed. Now the whole reason of this was that carol was super furious after discovering binary's death by the brood queen's hand and her ill plan to turn her against the kree by making her into a weapon to fight them! Carol was taking none of this, with that rage she began to draw energy around her that is ambient energy and wrecked the brood queen, the team quickly noticed her energy was unstable and she could go supernova releasing a black hole upon her wake that sucks each and everyone into nothingness so they try to get her to power down to prevent such catastrophe! Rogue had to absorb wolverine (X23) healing factor to boot in her already nigh invulnerable skin and superhuman strength in order to be able to share carol's grief by carol allowing her to take a portion of her energy! NO WHERE IN THE COMIC DID IT SAY SHE'D KILL HERSELF CREATING A BLACK HOLE!!!!!

You’re coping pretty hard. Carol lost to the superior opponent. Even if she was completely immune, Cyclops would have dozens of back up plans and take her out… easily.

Captain Marvel is powerful enough to become a sun. Scott's powers are similar his vision based abilities are his sole powers, or is it as this was what he originally started out with. He has demonstrated other uses of these powers like sensing forms of solar energy through his highlighted sense of view to senses energy fields similar to his brothers powers. And Scott can absorb his own powers and others too. In other ways, his powers are similar to Captain Marvels and his omega level mutant, and possibly his powers haven't really reached they possibly levels, and he might have additional powers like controlling them or using other forms of energies or absorbing lighting or cosmic power to use direct or to fly by anti gravity another function of his powers? His brothers' powers use energy on a subatomic level and visual based abilities and blasting or absorbing Scotts powers. It's possible Scott's powers could change to suit his own mind controlling attitudes on an emotional side of his powers? His also demonstrated elements of powers that could give him a greater level of power?

There was some decent art in some of the panels/ pages you showed, but the dialogue in this book was god-awful. Whoever wrote this doesn't seem to know how deep Carol's history with Cyclops and the X-Men is. She was with the X-Men the very first time she became Binary. Carol says, "I need to get rid of this guy" like Cyclops is practically a stranger.
