I will watch this, but I just finished the one on Pearle Bailey and I'm currently watching the one on Shelia Guyse, which inspired me to suggest if you could look into Sarah Vaughan and/or Dinah Washington? Doesn’t matter the legacy because legacy doesn’t pay the bills and RHOA does. She was reduced to modeling moo-moos before RHOA. RHOA shows that she is able to transcend and change for each generation. Now that’s legacy!

Now that’s real talk. Legacy and getting your bills paid are two different things. She made her modeling money years ago--things change-models age out and get less gigs. People always pick out people that they remember from childhood and expect them to still be living off of 80s and 90s money, and then has the nerve to be shocked when their star dies in poverty because that person was ashamed of taking a regular job. This mode of thinking is about keeping people in a box type of fantasy. It is not reality. Good for Cynthia in making a new bag and creating generational wealth.

Housewives did cheapen her because she’s soooo accomplished. But, she used the platform to come up and I’m proud of her for that. I love Cynthia and hope that she continues to rise. She’s entirely too classy for the ratchetness of reality TV. Thanks for this video. People need to know about her.

See I think housewives helped her in some aspects . And she didn’t really do anything that she has to be embarrassed of she always remained a lady and classy she was never really acting ratchet on tv. And housewives had such a big platform and the checks were nice so I don’t blame her for doing it . Especially when she first joined her and Peter were having money troubles so she had to do something but I think housewives is a better show than most reality shows .

Cynthia is stunning! The first time I heard of Cynthia was through RHOA. I remember the first time I saw Cynthia on a huge blowup of just her face at the Fashion Fair makeup counter. I was floored by her beauty. As a young black girl back then you didn't see black models in the makeup section before Cynthia. At least not in my area. I agree she's too classy for RHOA. Kenya as well. I think the older cynthia got the better she looked she aged so beautifully . On RHOA their was an episode where it was her and Eva Marcelle and they both strutted their stuff and cynthia is a lot older than Eva as well but everyone agreed cynthia did better and just looked better modeling she showed that young one how it’s done. ❤❤❤❤

I think the RHOA of Atlanta actually helped Cynthia's career. Many people were not aware of who Cynthia Bailey was until she came on the show. Cynthia always maintained her grace, class and respect while on the show. However, Kenya destroyed her image with fake storylines, offensive behavior, and displaying a negative self-image of Black women. However, both women were able to generate wealth and popularity that had not been on the show, they both would be broke and "unsung".

It's shocking to me that ppl did not know who Cynthia was before RHOA. I guess everyone is young bc she was everywhere back in the day. I knew exactly who she was when she joined the show, but it didn't bother me bc she remained classy and graceful throughout. She had a couple of ratchet moments, but for the most part, she was great. Her being "boring" was just her retaining her class. Now everyone is saying that RHOA cheapened her. It didn't in my opinion. She got her money n moved on.
