I had a tough time with the trigger return spring bouncing back out of place as soon as I did a function test. If you could add that the TRIGGER RETURN SPRING should be flush against the TRIGGER HOUSING and the HAMMER RETURN SPRING should be on the outside with the leg resting against the TRIGGER CASE and keeping the RETURN SPRING against the TRIGGER HOUSING, that would be helpful. The leg on the outside keeps the TRIGGER RETURN SPRING underneath the bent arm of the BLOCK LEVER and prevents it from popping out. The spring looks like its thinner than the original and it would benefit from being a touch longer to help it get into place when doing the install and prevent it from pupping out from under that LEVER. A longer leg on that spring would not create any mechanical conflicts inside the trigger pack.

Added my reduced spring kit and installed a THETA forward trigger! Beyond happy. You cant beat an upgraded trigger for under $70. Best part, I was able to install myself with very little experience.
@RollerPigg2 жыл бұрын
Did this three times... the third time was reinstalling the old trigger return spring, because the new, lighter weight, thinner trigger return spring kept coming disconnected. Somehow, it kept slipping past the firing pin disconnector. I know this is only a $12 part kit, but this is the fire-control group for my wife's home defense gun. Very glad I discovered this problem before she had to use it.
@hb_industries2 жыл бұрын
It is very important to make sure the spring is installed with long leg against the sear, and the sort leg against the sheetmetal FCG housing. A lot of people miss the short leg, because it can be a PIA to get the long leg of the spring under the firing pin disconnect bar, often the short leg gets over looked. If you haven't already, please call/email us sales@hbindustries.net and we can send you another set of springs if you want? The key is really the shorter bottom leg (orange). If the short leg is bent/canted under the longer leg, it will keep pulling the spring sideways like you are describing. The good news is that its a super easy fix, even if you have the springs installed, you can reach down with the blade of a pocket knife and slide the short leg out against the sheetmetal housing and push the long leg towards the sear. Once in the correct orientation they will not move (unless the spring is bent, and again in that case please just contact us with shipping info and we will get you another set of springs). I know these springs can be frustrating, but I promise we are here to help. We got you.

I swear the parts in my gun were much smaller than those in the video. Could have bee my old eyes. Excellent video, 40 minutes for spring kit, trigger and safety delete and I think half of that was starting and stopping the video. Could not have done it without you.

I just installed your trigger spring kit. A breeze with your nicely done instructional video. My 2018 Scorpion had no welded collar on the trigger pack screw, so the whole project took fifteen minute including the time to clean and re-grease/oil the trigger pack components. Trigger is now quite acceptable at about 5lbs.

Thanks for the informative video guys! I installed the trigger spring kit in about 2.5 hours. It was 2 hours of trying to get that darn trigger return spring in place, wow so much pain over that one. Eventually what I did was take a small flatblade screwdriver and cut a small groove in the middle of the blade, that helped to hold the spring in place while pushing the disconnector (?) down.

Make sure the small leg of the trigger return spring is sitting against the trigger housing. The first time I installed the kit, that spring somehow twisted, and forced the long leg to move towards the housing. The problem this caused was a failure to fully reset when releasing the trigger slowly. I was forced to move it forward to hear the click, and fully reset the trigger. I didn't notice the problem if I came of the trigger fast. Once I found my screw up, it worked perfectly. By far the first upgrade needed on the CZ........besides that damn safety lever. Although, HB has a fix for that too.

Just got your kit in the mail a couple months ago, finally got around to installing this kit. I was a little bit concerned that the hammer was loose in the up position, the spring didn't really have a lot of tension but it seemed like it captured the hammer just fine and I could push the hammer down and it would lock onto the sear no problem. So that part functioned properly. Hopefully that's totally normal. Although once it was installed into the receiver it seemed ok. The hardest part for me was getting the safety selector installed again LOL. Such a pain to get it lined up and snapped in all the way. At first I thought I bent the trigger housing and the safety bar wouldn't engage all the way, had to give it a twist and then it popped in eventually.

@@newbootgoofin3139 for the safety selector not lining up? I just had to hold it in place and jiggle it back and forth and wiggle it slowly into place. Great video! One comment about the washer: I installed the washer for fun, despite my CZ's sheet metal housing appearing to be spot on (not warped). However, after installing the trigger assembly and testing out the hammer function, I noticed that when releasing the hammer it was contacting the left hand side of the lower receiver frame right next to the ejector. It did so to the point of making a slight indent in the polymer of the lower receiver housing. I removed the shim and the issue did not persist. I'd suggest not installing the shim unless, after assembly, you see a need to.
@AirTisdale2 жыл бұрын
The video makes it seems like there should be a tiny gap between the housing and the lever. Mine doesn’t have that gap, and the trigger reset feels like it binds just a tad. Would the shim seem applicable in that case?
