Pathfinder Railtours "The Maybach Meanderer" D1015 "Western Champion" working 1Z52 Crewe to Quainton Road and 1Z15 return. Seen at Claydon Junction, Calvert and Aylesbury. 14/12/2013.

Running trains this long would surely help our overcrowded railways now? I travelled from Paddington to Paignton in the late 50's on the Torbay Express hauled by a Castle with 14 up. At Exeter or N. Abbot, not sure, the train split with part going to Bristol I think.

Great footage of the class 52 Western ,This is what trains should be like ,Not the Modern crap we have in todays world ,Prefer the Classic Push Pull Units .
