considering his duty comes from a culture that takes no consideration in mind for other sentients...and repeatedly showed a habit to get insulted when having ther treatment of other cultures returned in favor.. ..bugger me I can respect the dudes motivations to do it...but not his reasons. gota say though...it would be sort of rad to have a 'side track' flick of this alien/predator universe ...with a predator blooding bumbling onto a decent sized samurai colony ..that basicly knows ther tech is inferior ,and compensates properly for it! XD..and then when the predators at last lands despite the underhanded out of necessity orbital defense forcing them to do ground war if wanting to assult the Samurie citys and Citadels.. they are meet by Samurai war lords and massive honor guard behind a shogun sitting on a throne made of several alien queens basicly taping a fot pointing at the throne and then a pile of civilians skulls or other such simple pictogram comunication of ''YOU DID NOT LEAVE ANY -PLANET RESSERVED!- SIGN! ..THEN YOU SENT THIS HERE WITHOUT CHEEKING IF IT WOULD BE WARRIOR ACOLYTES ONLY THAT FACED IT ...OR THE FIELD TENDERS AND HEALERS!...SHALL WE TAKE YOUR SHIP AS OUERS AND RETURN THE GESTURE TO ONE OF YOUR PLANETS ?''

Time Dilation is a thing in this universe. Gravity affects the passage of time and approaching the speed of light does it even more. 2 years of time could of pasted on that planet, where as barely anytime could of passed for the predators. To say the least to explain the phenomenon.. If you went to a star 99 light years away on a ship moving at 99% the speed of light. About 2 years would pass for you, while 99 years would pass on Earth. So less than a month could of passed for the Predators on ship, while 2 years were passing on that planet. Predators are used to being left on planets for long extended periods, because of this. Hell Predators living for over a thousand years anyways... So 2 years is nothing. Rescue missions involving space are a bitch.. ain't they xD This is also why Ripley was throw 100 years into the future during her cold sleep and barely aged at all in Aliens.

These tell her whole story. You´ll also get all tie-ins if you go for these 4 and then some.

The greatest Aliens story ever told. I haven't stopped thinking about this tale for twenty-five years. Thank you to the creators of the original comics and to Alien Theory for this modern incarnation. But most of all thank you to S. and S.D. Perry for the novelization. It was my childhood.

Hiring a Japanese actress instead would make the script, directing, producing, camera work, plot, and every other thing invloved in film making, so much more competent. Well done sir. Well done. I own all three of the Dark Horse AVP series original series condensed comics: AVP orignal, AVP War, and AVP Deadliest of the Species. War was always my favorite, don't forget the novel Hunter's Planet. Might be worth a look since people like Machiko's story line.

Yes Hunter’s Planet is definitely worth sharing and I’m still mulling over how to include it in these videos. Might be something to circle back to further down the line after covering War and Three World War instead of before. But not 100% sure yet.

So much better than a movie. My imagination is going much crazier with these audios, as opposed to a movie. The only bad part is that AT doesn’t narrate all other Alien audio stories. I took a stab at a couple other channels that narrated comics, and Alient Theory has really spoiled us with his gift of storytelling and set the bar way high. I hope the novel audios are better.

I listened to the whole story when you first put it out, and now 2 years later I went through it again in one sitting. A truly engaging, fantastic piece of work. I've always liked the older Alien movies and thought the franchise was "kinda cool", but your channel has given me a whole different level of appreciation for the world and the mythos they've built around it. imho - this was the story (Farming Colony) that should have been the first AvP movie. And it would have ended with a 'new' Ripley character to boot! If only they had been willing to pay for the rights to the comic book stories. Alas it wasn't to be ..but at least we have these. :)

Alien Theory, your readings of these comics has been much more enjoyable than anything produced in the AvP universes. These stories are much more powerful and it's sad that people at Fox have so little culture. The Conversation between the Doctor and Machiko would be a powerful scene on screen, maybe one of the best in cinema with the right music. I guess we'll never see it, but these playlists are good enough. Thank you for your work, keeping these stories alive.

Would love to see a tv series of this character and her exploits with the preds. The world really needs more predator character development. Their honor code is so intriging. Would love to see pred join earth in a war against the alien or even the engineers. Do it!

A nice addition would have been the conversation with V'kleta when she "greets" him correctly and introduces herself as D'ad-Thou-Di. It was a nice way to end the novel with them hunting together.
