Recovering 1972 Chevy Nova Parked for 46 Years: • Recovering 1972 Chevy ...
It's the classic story: Gilles bought his dream muscle car when he was only 17 years old. Time passed, life got complicated, the car fell into a state of disrepair and the car was sold. Fast forward 24 years later and the car now haunts Gilles. "I should never have sold it"... a phrase I would hear many times filming these videos. So we got to investigating and after some time we were able to not only locate the car but agree to have Gilles see the car after so many years... But this isn't just any story of a owner being re-united with his car... this is my dad... Well, technically he's my father in law but I love him as such. At the same time this isn't just ANY 1972 Dodge Charger... no this is an ultra rare 1972 Dodge Charge Rallye. Only 126 of these cars were produced in North American and only 21 made it to Canada. Join us now on a nostalgic journey that won't be soon forgotten...

Max, I WAS going to say my '74 was better before I watched the whole video. I stand corrected. Mine was a '74 SE Brougham I purchased while in college. Same blue, same white interior, same 440 Magnum, but that's where it ends. Mine was an auto, not the beloved 4-speed. How I bought it is a story in itself. My job was minimum wage at the dealership. The owner loved me. I was able to get my first car loan at age 21 with essentially no full-time job and no money. I paid 12 months payments from my 3 months of working, went back to school, and repeated the process for another year until I graduated. Upon graduation, I traded it for my special ordered '76 Cordoba as a first career job celebration for myself. I wish I had both of those cars today! I fully believe Gilles and I could spend many hours sharing Mopar love stories. Some of mine might not be suitable for publishing. 😉😊 ...I've never heard of a guy having a bromance with his father-in-law! Does it make her jealous? 🤣
@SubdivisionAuto

JD thats so funny you had a 440 car AND a Cordodba as well.. you and Gilles would INDEED get along (probably why I get along so well with both of you). Man what a time to be alive to buy a car fully in 12 month payments in 3 months work! Sounds fair doesnt it? I think I have 2 years left to pay off my Bronco after I paid 2 years before AND had a 70% down. Life is not the same these days...Bromance indeed mopar guys are brothers!
