Of everyone I know my dad loves beekeeping the best. He will run himself ragged over bees. Well in this video I got to go help with dad's biggest swarm catch of the year and it was a nice one. I've caught one or two close to that size this year but I haven't beat it. Any time he sees something out of the ordinary he calls me to come running with a camera and I usually do. We have too much fun. This swarm catch was done at the end of May.
This evening my wife and I rode down town to look at doing a hive removal job from the wall of a two story house. The owners think the bees just moved in within the fast few weeks. This one should be kind of easy but we have to pull off siding and it is Masonite so we have to take care not to do a lot of damage. No match available locally. I may have to bring some scaffold because I don't think there is sheathing under the siding and I don't trust the siding not to break if I lean a ladder against it.
