You forgot the "park bench baby" hold. The baby sits on your arm, facing completely away from the holder of the baby. The free hand rests on baby's chest or tummy. 😊 My daughter's favorite position as a baby!

My favorite is the standard shoulder hold. I mostly held my baby that way. My second favorite is the reverse standard shoulder hold. Though I do like the dance partner hold.

Well you are clearly childless. I'd bet my entire savings account on it. At no point was the child's head not supported by either dad or the child's own strength (which they can do when up right.) You'll see.
