There are so many positives in this: 1. Ear training 2. Appreciation for the arts 3. Freedom to express herself 4. Memories for both father and daughter. 5. Exposing her to good music with solid composition and modulation 6. Stronger emotional ties between father and daughter .... the list goes on and on.

My dad has been deaf since his late 30. When he got his first implant my crying was the first thing he heard. He wanted me to play piano. Now i'm a pianist, I have a degree in communication studies (the irony) and I'm studying to become a music producer and he support me and my dream every day. Seeing this fulfilled my heart with joy and made me cry. Music is love because music is communication. Thank you, you have a splendid child.

@@juzzlookin its a shame, but things don’t always work out. My wife went crazy and up and left one day without warning, after 20 years of marriage. I find it very sad these days how many children have turned out. ..... I always knew back years ago. ( in the early 90's )...it wouldn't be good 10 plus years down the road because I saw babies having babies. Girls were getting pregnant during there late years in high school and all I could think of is " my god what will out future generations be like"?🤦. Today I work in a rehab/detox facility and it's heart breaking to hear some of these kids stories on how they grew up. They grew up with no supervision parents arguing , emotional and physical abuse, addicts and/or alcoholics for parents the list goes on🥺. Kids only know what they see and hear growing up and they end up only repeating the cycle there parents did ....but only worse. As each generation comes about the drugs become more dangerous and people become more hateful it seems..... no one stays married anymore because it's easy to get a divorce only because morals values and standards just aren't there as they used to be in my grandparents generation....the internet doesn't help either🤨 it very much abused🤷. I do not speak for all families of course, there are some parents out there that at least try to raise there kids to the best of there ability with all those good qualities. But you still never know ☝️ growing up in that good natured happy cozy clean home with wonderful role models as parents things could still go very wrong🤷 because all the outside influences could very well be unavoidable and very influential to any child these days. There is no handbook for raising perfect children or being a perfect parent and we all know there are no fairy tales🤷. This world can be very cruel and very scary🥺..... but I do love this video....dad did something right☺️ ..... absolutely very heart warmingl🤗🤗😍💞

Happy Sabbath! Friday sundown to Saturday sundown. God's 4th Holy Seventh Day Sabbath commandment. Genesis 2:2-3, Exodus 20:8-11, Isaiah 58:13, Matthew 12:8 Leviticus 23:3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an HOLY CONVOCATION; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings. John 14:15 If you love me, keep my commandments. Proverbs 28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination. Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. I would hightly disagree with that. Dont misunderstand me I love music, but its presence in my home has made my life a thousend times harder since I was 7. Being my parents musicians they hightly tried for years to made me interested in some instrument with no result for years, unlike my brother, I didn't have a natural ispiration for music. At 7 out of their insistence I started piano and my mother trasformed what I saw as a game into a nightmare for me. First there is the playing, the fun, then a strict teacher, then the expensive academy you can't leave or your parents will be mad and disappointed. ( not to mention 2 out of three teachers who slapped my hands violently on lessons) Took 4 years to confess to myself that I could not continue doing something I hated and other 2 years to find the bravery to tell my mother who of course was mad and forced me to continue for another 2 years in a continue anxiety, being forced to exercise and performance in public, expectations I couldnt fullfill for the lack of talent and passion, and my childhood and adulescencr ruined. I liked other things, like drawing, writing and reading, but not music, and my mum just couldnt accept it. The hate from my entire family and teachers, the blame they put on my head as the " lazy" and " failing" kid when I finally got to leave it after years of fighting, crying every single day and having panic crisis when I had to lesson. And the fear I had of disappointing others which is still with me. So no, where there's music, there's not always love, happyness or understanding. For some people music can be a bless and for others like me a real damnation, and Im tired of people saying things like " a family with music is an amazing family", " music brings happyness everywhere", because its fake, not always, but in some cases like mine, its totally fake.

@@eleonorvoncarter6769 Ok. I understand and really regret your experience ... I think "moms onDmove" referred to the experience (shared or not) of listening to music as an artistic language capable of expressing unique ideas and emotions. The brief comment was not intended to develop the theme and was generalist, which turns out to be inaccurate. I doubt that anyone who grows up listening to Hard Rock, Punk or Heavy Metal develops the same intellectual and emotional skills as those who grow up listening to Jazz and Classical Music (for example) and this is not a prejudice. The different genres of music have different languages with different psycho-affective results. As a rule, Jazz and Classical Music have a richness and complexity that commercial and so-called light music does not. On the other hand, there is a huge difference between "listening" and "playing" music. At this point, you're absolutely right! It is the difference between enjoying art and learning a specific technique. These are very different things and the mania of forcing children to learn music (or any other activity) against their will is the worst that can be done, not only for individual development but also for the future relationship with that same activity! The result (in addition to personal problems like the ones you mentioned) is hatred for the activity that you are supposed to learn and love. Music as a socio-psychological phenomenon is one of the strongest and most intense. It was no accident that the Nazis used music to torture and as a weapon of political propaganda. But it was also music that saved thousands or millions from the holocaust and concentration camps, and also served as a weapon against barbarism. It is for all these reasons that I am so sorry that you were forced to learn a technique of what (even if you did not initially have a particular taste) could have been an art form capable of even magical and powerful things. And although I don't know your parents, I deduce that they didn't do it on purpose, even if they showed some insensitivity to the issue. Too many parents allow themselves to be carried away by behavioral and pseudo-pedagogical impositions that society wants to make believe that they are the most indicated and "right". I don't know what's your position and relation today with music - if you like it, what kind of music you like, if you go to concerts, etc. - but I sincerely hope that you have managed to rationalize what happened to you and managed to overcome it. Hug!

@@onomatopeira I totally agree with everything you said. I dont think music itself is a bad thing, I think its one of the most amazing and lovely arts we have and I love to listen to it. I like to listen to every kind of music( excepted hard metal!) and I always feel relaxed to listen something I like. Honestly I understand too why my parents wanted me to play the piano so badly, they grew up with music and wanted me to do the same, I hated being forced but I never truly hated them because they thought they were doing the best for me. Today music is still a part of my life even if I dont play it, I listen to it and go to theatre often, see concerts on tv My mum is an opera singer and we are united by a passion for opera music, even though I can't sing I adore watching operas with her. I think music can be amazing for a child who decides to play on his own and naturally has a wish or a talent to learn it, just like every other kind of art. You cant take a child and force him to be an artist for example, because if they dont want to learn how to draw they will always just dodle and will never improve! However even when there is no will to learn an art, the child can still grow to appreciate a Caravaggio or a Da Vinci, or simply a well made piece of art, and they will like it even if they dont like drawing. The same is for music, and that's how I feel about it. I know it wasn't music itself who hurted me and it wasnt even my parents, it was just being forced and partially also my teachers who had a role in it. Thank you for your nice reply I hope you have a good day!

The people that clicked the "thumbs down" must have miserable lives, with miserable outlooks on everything.............this is a love between a Father and child and reverse......just beautiful to watch.

Yes! It's the natural response to the environment in wich the child grew up. An absolute marvel that summarizes the positive effects (intellectual, emotional, psychological and social) that music (preferably good) has on the development and growth of human beings. It looks like magic indeed! 🙂

I love how Emilie smiled right at her father when she sang, “my Huckleberry friend, moon river and me.” So beautiful to see how much she loves her Daddy. The world would be a better place if there were more loving fathers like this one.

Your videos spread purity, love and lots and lots of positive energy to the viewers. Just by watching them relaxes and calms me. The father is not only talented, but also a caring, gentle, loving man, who understands how to connect with animals and others.

w.O.w. how rich is this dad and daughter relationship. These moments are treasures of many kinds. I could feel the music exuding from her fingertips. And I got goosebumps when they performed Moon River. I'm just blown away. I am blessed to come from a musical family and this touched my heart. Bravo!🌷🌷
