I'm honestly more the tired dad than the excited dad, but that's because our 6 year-old has decided a few weeks ago that 5 AM is the perfect time to get up and switch on all the lights and put on the tv on full volume. Oh, how I would love to have the energy again to be the excited dad... ;)

I've always thought that the "Polish Santa" has a harder job to do with the presents, but seeing tired Dad made me think twice :b Santa in my culture comes at the Christmas Eve party. Either someone dresses up as Santa and the kids have to sing a song for their presents or the adults distract the kids and reveal hiden presents then call that Santa all ready left. So technically it requires a lot more effort to make sure "the magic of santa" is preserved, but nobody needs to get up early the next day.
