Thank you for this message. For me, I have learned that it isn't so much what I am praying for, though that is important. But it is where I am praying from. In Ephesians 2: 3-4 Paul talks about living in the body and the mind as children of wrath carrying out the desires of the flesh. As a Christian, for decades I never understood this. I was living as and praying as the flesh and the mind. But one night, in pain and prayer, I had a transformational experience of Gods presence and from that moment I understood. And I began to learn that God is Spirit, and that our true nature is spirit, not flesh and mind. I believe I had this experience because my pain was so great that I was willing to give up everything for God's deliverance. Through the pain, God was breaking down my will and my pride and leading me to the spirit. From that point I began to pray in the spirit, and I experience peace, the peace of Christ, regardless of circumstance. It isn't prefect in me, but it is growing. Know that your nature is not flesh and mind. Explore your spirit. This is where true connection with God begins, through the holy spirit.

Im starting to read the book of ephesians. I pray that my heart eyes open. Every time i pray for God to change me, challenges come heavy and i find that i cannot handle and i crush under that weight and i stop. I have this deeper desire to be righteous and holy but everytime, i cant handle what im supposed to do. I pray for grace. The fight is tough.
