Not a penalty. If football keeps being played on stupid penalty where the ball was never reaching anyone behind the player whose hand was hit by the ball, then just playing penalty football is best way to decide winner.

That's true, but I wonder how much of that is influenced by him! For me, I can get so much satisfaction from stinking out the pitch for 90 minutes and ruining a game because we won he first leg 2-0, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be actively trying to do that, and enjoying it so damn much, if I wasn't at least partly trying to imitate the Special One 😂

the conference league didn't even exist back otherwise roma would have won it multiple times, this guy is typical mourinhotard, he says "if you even consider coppa italia a major title", tell you what coppa italia is much more prestigous than conference league. If Mourinho was maradona of managers he would win the serie a with roma not this useless cup competition, winning the league shows how good a managers is, forget about winning the league roma didn't even finish 4th even after juventus had 10 pts deducted.

I think he is quite different than maradona, especially in his personal life. For one, the man is not a druggie and I have no idea what is so "ruthless" about his life. He has a normal family. It's only in his profession that he is ruthless. Maradona was in all honesty, much much more eccentric than anything Mourinho does.

Pep doesn't need to prove himself by signing for any small team he's the best and he has proven it in barca bayern and city no matter what you say about it but mourinho failed with some of the big teams of the world and pep have not so there's no reason for him to pick an underdog team.

Mourinho did it with porto no one knew about them that time when they won champions league, treble with inter Milan and ending AS roma European trophy drought. Same with Manchester United also they were trophyless many seasons came and won. Can't say for Tottenham coz they r Tottenham

@Rishav Sinha what mourinho did with porto was incredible, but if you see in the last years he hadn't been great while pep came to barcelona won sextuple we'll skip the bayern since it's the farmers league then went to premier league won 5 league trophies in 7 seasons now already won 2 this season and he's playing a ucl final I'm not saying mourinho is a bad coach if we look at past decade pep has been better and you can't deny it. He created the super team for barca and now for the city. Therefore, nobody even comes close to him

Mourinho restored pride at Roma and managed to get us to back to back finals with limited resources and squads. We could have fared better if not for the mountain of injuries we faced (and probably a better refereeing performance too). Been a Roma fan ever since I began following football 16 years ago, and I've rarely seen players this committed to the shirt. I hope he stays for a final year and that the board gives him every tool possible to attain his objectives.

The parallelism with Spurs could also be bigger when you look at Roma. They are both teams from the capital of their country who had not won a trophy since 2008, so they were experiencing a similar drought. (Sure, Roma's might not have felt as harsh, but, compared to what they had achieved in the previous 25 years, to suddenly go trophyless for a decade and a half seems off) Then, Mourinho brought Roma to their first UEFA recognised trophy, and even got them to a final the following year. Roma had only played 2 European finals before Mourinho, and now that number has already doubled. It might seem like what Mourinho is doing at Roma is what could have happened with Spurs.

Just 2 notes, Gini injured in the first match and stayed out most of the year and when Roma was 3rd in the league alone, most of his key player injured and he made some games with young kids and reserves. Roma should have gone to CL anyway but a ref decided to overturn Roma win vs Fiorentina.

Jose is such a great manager that his teams don’t even have to get off the team bus. They just drive onto the pitch and park their bus in front of goal. In the 80th minute, the striker gets off the bus, takes one shot, scores one goal, then gets back on the team bus and everyone goes home. Football is simple.

Mourinho is the counter-culture guy football needs, the problem these days is people only want to emulate the "joga-bonito" possession football, or post-tikitaka, but to do that you need players with great tactical-awareness and superior technical skills. When you can't have those you have to play the other way, I like to call it the counter-culture football or "guerrilla football".

It hits me hard knowing that he couldn’t achieve his 3rd uel title. Even though he made some mistakes, the ref was inefficient and he was prejudicated for that. Atleast he has an opportunity to conquer uel next season, but with new faces such as Liverpool, Sporting, Atlanta, Villarreal and the re-arrival of the Sevilla(we all know they are gonna 3rd in the group stage). I don’t think they are going to have the same chances they had in this season

AS Roma in 1961 won the City of Fairs Cup, the ancestor trophy of both UEFA Cup and Europa League Cup. Not the most important trophy but still an european trophy recognized by FIFA; it was played by many major clubs in Europe and just as an example Barcelona won it 3 times. 💛🧡❤

Mourinho leaves football heritage wherever he goes, he improves every club for decades to come and has propably the greatest manager mentality ever seen. I mean you can't tell me that all of the clubs he managed weren't massively boosted in every way possible during his stay at them and even after he left.the manager goat debate is somehow still on but just imagine if Mourinho was to manage a country. This would immediately give him international fame and would establish him as the greatest of all time.

His ability to make good players from any player in primavera and use them for few games then either let them stay or sell them is somethink great for big teams in italy.. in a league where coaches are afraid to use primavera graduates without experiences in senior football he is doing somethink great... Also Zaniolo was forcing a moove out of club and management said he willeither be sold or never play a game till summer and then be sold... Mou had little to say in that

Thats because there is always a story with jose. I hate his football but he is one of the best managers ever. Peps football is robotic and all are copying it, and pep is regarded as GOAT manager with unlimited resources. Where as pep may be a best tactician ever not a manager. But jose is one of the greatest tactician and manager. Jose always gives stories, great ones. History will never forget this guy. That many stories❤️

He won the UEFA cup with Porto in 2003 and went on to win the champions league in 2004 Took Inter to win the champions league on the way he defeated the best club in the world at that time “Barcelona” inter had not won the champions league in this era. Signed for Madrid after the team has not qualified for the champions league semifinals for 6 consecutive years. At the same time Barça was dominating Spain and Europe He went to Madrid and changed the history, made Madrid a giant, setting a 100 points record in the domestic league, broke the curse in champions league. Signed for Man U, a ghost after the retirement of Sir Furguson, he took them to start winning tittles again even if minor ones and then he won the UEFA cup.. Roma probably his most challenging work ever, never won a European trophy and he took them to win the conference league? And he goes the next season to play the UEFA cup finals?
