QwikChute Installation Wright ZXT | Step-by-Step Instructions

In this video I show you step by step how in install a QwikChute chute blocker plate on the all new Wright ZXT. Even though this install is on a ZXT the instructions will be the same for just about every mower on the market.
While you can order this chute blocker on numerous different websites... I prefer to go straight to the manufacture to be 100% certain that I get the EXACT one specified for MY mower. **Some mowers have angled discharge chutes (like the the Ferris Z3X) and come pre-molded to your specific deck.
I submitted an email online at and Dale with GTM Manufacturing (the creator of the Qwikchute) called me same day and got be set up with two brand new blockers and shipped them same day. Two days later I was making the install!

I really don't like that they didn't use the original mounting to attach that deflector add-on. That probably cost 300.00 bucks. I would not drill holes in my mower deck. Thanks for the video.

You ask if there were other options we like better, for a chute blocker we like the GrassFlap because of the foot operation and the easy installation.

I used grassflaps for two years on my standers… I can’t tell you how many cables I went through. First time was a cable routing issue on my end and a heavy footed employee… the rest were just normal wear and tear (although we do open and close them a ton). I just got tired of replacing cables at $35/pop and spending time rE-mounting. I’ve not had to replace anything on the qwikchutes…ever.

Hey James I don’t recall off hand which model number it is specifically for the zXt... this was one of those products that I didn’t want to buy from a third-party site for fear of getting the wrong model for my mower. Check out my description and go straight to the manufacturer and give them a call. (I listed their website). I spoke with Dale if I’m not mistaken, and he had me two quickchutes out the door the same day and I had them two or three days later in the mail. I highly recommend them. Hope this helps...sorry for the delayed response.

Which Chute blocker kit and where did you get it from? I've ordered a Wright ZXT 72 inch mower. I enjoy your videos! Dave Fleming.

Sorry Dave just now seeing your comment. I called the manufacturer direct to make sure I got the correct one for my mower (since the zxt’s were still brand new). It fit perfect and is still in great working order today!
