l went to metro high school downtown at this time. Dallas was really cool. You could walk down to a hi rise and go to the roof and hang your feet off the edge and smoke a joint. l did it almost daily with my GF from arts magnet.

Around 1:00 would have been between 1974 (the year after the time/temp display atop the Texas School Book Depository was shut off) and 1979 (when it was dismantled and put into storage). Part of the clock was missing by this point. A shame, really.

People used to be able to go there and purchase old school furniture & books for a very low cost; I have two drafting tables my father purchased there.
