Quintessential Cowboys drive in the 90s. Nothing flashy. Just move the chains, keeping the defense on the field, keep the clock ticking, then the TD. This kind of drive hurts opponents much more than the quick score,

man, Irvin was such a showman! As much as i love receivers like TO and Chad Johnson, when Irvin celebrated, he unified his team, not divided him. He even had off the field problems and it wasn't a distraction to his team because once he showed up game time or practice, he was as unselfish as it got! Think about a player like Irvin to play with a guy like E. Smith. Smith took what would of easily been an extra 3 or 4 thousand yards and possibly 20 to 30 more TD's to Mike's stats and he didn't care. There are receivers, even Hall of Fame receivers that would not of liked that.

K Rabenaldt who can with a straight face say they like jerry jones or anything those clowns in dallas do ? @@dominicmassaconi6160 most yards or any stats does not make the player the best ever. Bo Jackson was 1000 times better than Emmit Smith but he sadly got injured. If Barry didn't retire early and was on a better team he would have shred the record books. But still Payton is the best. Toughest, smartest, best pass blocker, best receiver outta the back field, best goal line runner who could leep over the whole pile, would run over and through people and would also just break long runs with his breakaway speed! By far Walter Payton is the best running back ever and he didn't need a dominant Oline like Smith had to do what he did.

That's the way you play the game to be a dominant team- run the ball effectively to force the defense to adjust to it, then pass the ball accurately when receivers come more open. Great o-line play, RB play, WR and QB execution.

Over the last Twenty some Year's?. A long with the Big Money,💰💰& Personal, Prestige issues. That have Fouled the Purity of the Pro Game up. I Guess when IT Became The Show thing.

Should've been a blowout but still a win. Cowboys slugged their way through this and then won out, including that clash with the Giants to end the season. Then were able to turn it back up a notch in the playoffs (especially vs the 49ers in the NFC Title Game and the 2nd half of the SB) to repeat as Champs. Overcame a little bit of everything that year.
