the classic nasi kandar normally eaten by locals, is white rice with mix gravy, ayam masak hitam ( chicken in black gravy which is not to miss on the rice) or beef in black gravy, boil egg, green pepper and lady fingers…and you should press some lime juice into the lamb soup for extra kick.

Yes indeed,cut potatoes can be boiled separately, eaten together with the brew n perhaps garlic,/ french loaf can be eaten-dipped!...well this week is the big Haji festive season..so lamb/goat are a kindoff sacrificial needs of the celebration.Viola! Anna, if you like lamb so much, you can go to any Arab Restaurant such as Saba Restaurant or Al-Rawsha Restaurant in KL and try their set of Lamb Mandy or Lamb Kabsah. Put in mind, lamb is pricy :D

Dan is right..Beriani rice, Nasi Kandar is just plain white rice served with mix gravy, protein & vege..

We normally eat soup with white rice or bread. No additional food. Because it will cost more. Especially the lamb

The sup kambing goes well with the loaf of bread. I’m sure they have that there as standard

U should ask for a straw.. After you are done with the meat on the lamb shank u could suck out the marrow in the large bone a few times.. Normally they give the straw beforehand.. Very tasty

I would like to suggest to Dan&Anna to stay in Malaysia for good!

I like to take lamb soup after raining in the evening with some hard loaf. Even though the lamb is expensive but it will make us happy after enjoying it.

Once a week It's yes eat with nasi briyani I will go for nasi putih more cheap, lamb shank almost cost you around 45-75 depand on size and which restaurant going to. Just beware off seafood and lamb shank price, some place quite pricey at certain mamak restaurant. I had a big prawn and lamb shanks and nasi putih, all cost me about rm90 Normally I just take fried chicken 😂😂😂 I will let you guys Where to eat soup

It is expensive because of the lamb shank and the nasi beriani.. if you choose white rice will be much cheaper.. need to ask for white rice, otherwise they will assume you want nasi beriani..

My favourite lamb soup is Sup Salim in Sentul.. You can request to pour the soup with noodles or just the lamb meat.. ❤

Quite expensive the lamb shank. In Hameediyah Penang only RM40 per shanks. May be you can try at Pelita Nasi Kandar in front of KLCC just 400m walk away. Got lamb shank, big prawn etc
