To fly from Boracay to El Nido was pretty painless actually! This is our second time in Palawan and El Nido, check our old vlogs below but we were pretty new to the Philippines and vlogging in general back then, go easy on us. • Playlist

I was in Palawan and Boracay in the late 80s, early 90s. I was a teenager then... So much have changed ! I remember the waters flouresce when I went swimming at night (due to diatoms). Was magical.

Wow! El Nido airport terminal is a lot bigger now than the one they had 2 years ago when I was there with my family.There were just two small separate nipa huts.

Great travel vlog! I was born and raised in Manila and now living in UK for 17 years now. I’m a complete stranger in my own country. I have travelled a lot of places in Europe but sadly not much in Philippines. You guys were lucky to experienced Boracay and El Nido, I’ve never been there. I went to Puerto Pincessa, Palawan last year and I really enjoyed it. But El Nido is far better than Puerto Princessa. And your vlog about Intramuros? I felt ashamed as I never tried it knowing I lived in Manila since childhood. Thanks Dane and Stacey for sharing your awesome Philippines adventures. Mabuhay!

boracay is always a must for me everytime im in the philippines. i feel home there. but i try to cut cost by staying in low budget but decent hotels whenever i stay for that long. i was just in boracay oct29-nov15 and stayed in a place called casa d' estrella in station 2. again not a high end hotel but they serve breakfast with your stay. booked them via agoda. had an awesome time as always. too bad i didn't get to check out spider house as some suggested it to me. next time and also still have to check out station X. thanks for the suggestions. keep making awesome contents. safe travels!

That's Tap-si-log [TAPa (marinated beef), SInangag (fried rice), and itLOG (egg)]. It's my fave comfort food. It's an all day breakfast meal. Try it with vinegar and chilli. 😁 The side dish is atchara, which is pickled unripe papaya. It's the Filipino version of kimchi. 😄

Hey guys, I want to drop a line to say Happy New Year, looking forward new cool vlogs. Just a thought for you both: Year's end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us. I wish you all Happy New Birth of 2018 and beginning of new chapter in life. Anyway, a bit information about myself, I retired from Active service with US Army and decided to call Philippines my home away from home and never looked back. I reside at Angeles City about 12 minute ride from Clark Air Port.

El Nido changes so fast. So different from when I lived there 10 years ago. I could literally have the lagoons all to myself. Back then, there were no banks, power only runs from 3PM to 9PM, drinking water was expensive, no decent hotel besides the overpriced resorts on the islands, few food options (although there was a lot of decent ones, but not like now). I went back last year and was pleasantly surprised to find a lot of 3- or 4- star hotels in town. I stayed at one with a pool. Restaurants abound. There’s an ATM. And power is 24/7. There’s also a lot of development at the Corona-Corona area where I used to run to for exercise and to catch the sunset. Didn’t have anything there 10 years ago. Check out that area. I don’t know if I’d be happy or sad. LOL.

Always a catch 22 isnt it. You want more luxury when you've not had it, but too much and it feels to commercial. We sort of felt the same about El Nido, still loved it though!

Try Trattoria Altrove. Best food we ate in Palawan. Pizza and salads were amazing for such a small little area. Rent a real motorbike, not a scooter and head to Nacpan Beach.

You both love beer. Almost every meal you have there is always a beer. Beer is Food as they say here in the Philippines. What's your favorite beer in the Phils? Have you tasted Red Horse beer? By the way I'm a beer lover too hahaha.

Haha you've spotted the trend haha. Definitely drink a lot more beer around the islands, sunshine/sunsets, beaches etc - thats the life! The Filipinos are all beer lovers as well arent ya!!?? We really like Red Horse, especially when you get the kick 😜 But the SM Light is often our go to, a bit cheaper and lower calories haha

Beer for breakfast! Nice! Haha I’m doing Caticlan to El Nido too and booked Air-Swift. I opted out of the prepaid baggage even though I was planning to pay for it later anyway. I really don’t remember why. Lol. How was Air-Swift?

Definitely go back onto their site and prepay for the bag! 200Peso for 10kg online or 200peso PER kilo in person haha. Air Swift were fine, fast, no delays and super easy!

I'm from Philippines and live here in US now. I used to live in Apia, Samoa which is very close to New Zealand. Have you guys ever been there? It was weird that I didn't recognized your accent. I have a friend and she really have a thick accent and sometimes I couldn't understand because I'm so used of American accent.

Hey Anhing, interesting story! We have been to Samoa and LOVED it! We reaaalllly wish we had vlogged back then, we would have loved to share with the world how awesome that place is. Some of the clearest water we've ever seen! Our accents are a little weird now, we've both traveled so much we sort of sound like nobodies :P

Daneger and Stacey Sorry what i mean the Boracay Airport is same as with Caticlan airport which means they upgraded the runways to cater INTL FLIGHTS and attached to it is a new TERMINAL which is bigger

Yes! I was there a few days ago for 4 nights! I know the developers there. They took me on an all-expenses paid trip. Maybe we can discuss about a project there in a couple of years time.

Thats awesome Alfred. Just checked your channel, you've done quite a bit from Newcoast (weve done all of those things haha) and the videos are really good, nice work. We did an apartment tour and explored the beach there and got the drone up etc as well, but all vlog style. We were tempted at the time to reach out to the developers and see if they were interested in working together but never got round to it. Would definitely be interested in doing something there in the future.

Hey Ryan - this place in El Nido looked reasonable, but the room was actually pretty average! Find the next vlog or two and we go to two other places that were much better.

If you want something more social with a bit of alcohol, or just want to get away from the crowds Z is awesome. The other tours are pretty busy, actually REALLY busy but probably a little more beautiful.

Yeah theres a few direct flights, but only from a few places. Air Swift has made it much easier now.

Nice blog, I've been there last August. El Nido is really a small town. I really enjoyed the snorkeling in Helicopter island lots of corals and colorful fishes. Also the kayaking and cliff jumping in small lagoon. Globe 4G has a good reception there, getting 35mbps when I do speedtest, probably the tower behind the town is GLOBE. So try getting a GLOBE sim LTE/4G also as your backup connection. They're the competitors of SMART. Also as a side-trip try going to Puerto Princess Underground River.
