I think this number is also way high even by American standards, and the reason maybe because of the high unemployment rates, the high crime rate, etc. in Seattle.

The heat was bad for business and his people likely would take him out to get rid all the pressure from law enforcement. It's likely a cartel boss forced him to give up and turn himself in.

How do you like that, guy had so many charges the D.A. didn't even charge for the theft ring. Was not pursued. Kid got lucky getting 23 years.

Im surprised more robbers dont use bikes, especially stolen ones. They're faster than cars and can get away from helicopters easier. Also you could steal a bike and ride a couple miles to a car you hav waiting for you that you also stole so cops wouldnt be looking for a bike if found out during the robbery.

That lady confronting the robber in her car is dumb. He could have had a gun and killed you, you willing to lose your life by confronting him rather than phone the cops straight away. Being stupid gets you killed.

Easiest way I'd think is calling the phone company of the hostage couples home and get the number he called to get picked up by someone else. That's be my first thought as a detective if that was available whenever this robbery took place. Writing this at 28 minutes in though, so maybe they will try that, I'll find out I guess.
