Daniel Briere is super excited to have Matvei Michkov in the Philadelphia Flyers organization. The Flyers General Manager talked about taking the young Russian star and Philadelphia's rebuild.

Danny Briere is doing a great job so far as GM, but I guess we shouldn't be surprised as he's traveled the world for years as a scout and worked for teams at many levels in many roles.

@@mcspankicage He is projected to be a safe pick which is definitely a GOOD thing but at this stage of the rebuild I'd much prefer to have the upside of a Gabe Perrault over the "safe bet"... especially with Perrault & Cutter Gauthier playing together at BC this year as those type of familiarity can better translate into being linemates on the Flyers...

Bonk is the best dman in the ohl this year so thank god we picked him at 22. 60 points in 49 games.

Michkov is entitled and despicable with his teammates according to multiple reports. Good luck Flyers team chemistry with this guy.

@@Murph_. Nah. Michkov is the best prospect the Flyers have ever drafted. Hes the best russian prospect since Ovechkin and projected to be an elite superstar. You rarely ever have a chance to get a player like that.

the fact he wanted to go to such an irrelevant American franchise shows that michkov is gonna be a massive disappointment and a headcase. lol😅

He literally looks angry that they picked him. His face devoid of emotion and full of disdain. The Flyers and Michkov both know the same thing, he was drafted to he traded. The Flyers didn’t want him going to the Caps in the metro, so they picked him so the Capitals couldn’t. He’ll be traded to a WC team when his KHL deal expires or a team acquires his rights and buys him out.
